I am an MTN customer and have been due for an upgrade since 2018. The Rewards Co (Umhlanga) Call centre ( affiliated to MTN) contacted me about upgrade options in early November, which I did not accept. Rather, I requested all the information to be sent to me via email. 2 days later I requested the same as I didn’t received anything. At the end of November however, I received an sms informing me that my contact package had been upgraded. I did not authorize any such upgrade, I had never received information via email, I had no idea of the cost of the new package and I had not signed any contract or document to accept the upgrade. I elevated the matter to the manager, Amanda who has not, to date, contacted me or resolved the matter. I am absolutely disgusted at the level of trickery carried out by this company. It is a sheer scam and fraudulent business practice
I’ve been trying to get a pair of sunglasses repaired through the Ray-Ban repair centre in Cape Town for ages. I’ve sent them more than one email, including photos and the repair form which is available through their website, and haven’t received a single response in months. You spend thousands of rands on their brand and their after sales service is PATHETIC.
