I purchased a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses from an optometrist in Port Shepstone. The model of the glasses is their "Light Force" , top of the range glasses offered. I treasured the almost R3000.00 purchase and seldom wore them. After about two years I noticed that the lenses were "peeling off" as if they had a covering over the lens that was failing. I went to the optometrist and was told to contact Ray-Ban directly. When I contacted them I was informed that my guarantee had lapsed and that they would not be interested in assisting me any further. Tough luck. WOW!!! This is simply NOT FAIR. Their product failed. My money did not! This is quite unbelievable and is not acceptable business practice. BEWARE OF RAY-BAN SUNGLASSES!

Recently purchased 2 pairs of Ray-Bans one for my husband and one for me. From the day I received my Ray-Ban I could feel the nose pads were not fine. After wearing them 3 times one nose pad is off and the other is lose. Worst product ever!!! For the price you pay you rather get a pair of Police or Chanel. How can a new product be so cheaply made. Darn at this point I would rather buy a paid of R30 pick n pay glasses and they would have a better quality. Don't Purchase Ray-Bans!

My RB lenses are severly 'pitted' shall we say? I think this may be the polaroid film peeling off, causing me to think of dumping them somewhere, but I simply paid too much for them. I bought my Bans in Cape Town, at V&A Waterfront - when I showed them the product, they merely shrugged and said "contact Ray Ban, SA". Of course the warranty has expired. The problem is NOT the supplier - the problem is the manufacturer who is selling an inferior product, which they KNOW will fail eventually. I'm disgusted, as this is the second pair of sunglasses this has happened to.

Good day I bought a pair of ray ban sunglasses from Mat and May store about a year ago. The name plate on the frame has started to come off. This is unacceptable these sunglasses are supposed to be top range. I think the knock off last longer. I went to store on many occasions and emailled but no response on email. When i go to store the manager is nevet there and they take my number and details but never call me back.

I’ve been trying to get a pair of sunglasses repaired through the Ray-Ban repair centre in Cape Town for ages. I’ve sent them more than one email, including photos and the repair form which is available through their website, and haven’t received a single response in months. You spend thousands of rands on their brand and their after sales service is PATHETIC.

I have been trying to get a pair of raybans fixed since last year December. You spend so much money on them and the service is terrible. I've sent emails, called the call centre and still nothing.
