Would give 0 stars if I could. I have been struggling for a month now to withdraw to my wallet and actually got responses from mining city. Best part is none of the responses has anything to do with what I ask. The 3 times I got responses was after a minimum of 7 days even though I responded straight back.
It is impossible to get any assistance or feedback from this department. I have been waiting nearly 3 weeks just to be informed what I need to do to get a copy of my vehicle registration form for an insurance claim on my vehicle. To this day I have received 3 automated responses from VAF but not one response from an actual person. VAF in the past also gave horrible service in regards to changing debit order details to the point where I missed a payment because they did not inform me that I needed to make a cash payment for the first payment after the debit order was changed. This is also after struggling for 2 months to get it done with my new bank trying to make contact and not being successful as well as me but with no luck. This is horrible service for a entity that is responsible and liable for such a big expense.
Ordered online not knowing the shop was closed, they accepted my order and stated delivery will be done the following day ( order placed 18:30 ). There is no option to cancel your order, no department to call as they were also closed and online purchases could not help. I did a conplaint on their app trying to cancel the order and get someone to call me bit contact was made almost 2 weeks later. The email received was that my ticket has been closed because "many" customers has already been assisted. The assumption that one was me. Afterwards I receive the email giving me an option to rate the service except the ticket was closed by pick n pay so I could not give a bad review. This is 2 days after Pick n Pay Sunninghill shut off the lights of the shop while myself and numerous other customers was still in the shop because it was 15mins before the actual closing time
First time around I bought a pair of Ray-Bans at Mat & May Canal Walk and stated I want insurance as it is a R 2000 pair of glasses. They broke about 3 months later so I returned them to the store where I was informed that it will be sent away and fixed as it was on insurance ( I never checked the monthly amount as I have an account with the Foschini group ). About 5 months later, after I called the store 5 times to ask on the progress and them taking my details all 5 times ( manager was not in store once upon my 2 visits and 5 calls ). I was informed that my glasses could not be fixed and it won't be replaced as no insurance was taken out. The person who worked there, and doesn't anymore, must have not done his job correctly and according to the manager who eventually called me, I was supposed to check that he did his job and not just sign the slips as all customers usually do ( in hindsight I now think the manager never trained him as she was never at the store ). A heated discussion ensued to no avail and increasing my anger towards how the matter was handled pointing fingers to me, the customer with a long standing account. Then I was called from a personal number from a person from head office ( I saved the cellphone number ) stating that they understand my situation and my anger and are willing to give me half price off my next purchase of glasses to which I finally agreed otherwise I would have had to buy another pair of glasses and if I could afford a R 4000 pair I would have boight it in the first place. And the original one is still on account so I am still paying off a broken pair. I asked if he could put this is writing and he said no but he will inform the store closest to me ( which is George mall branch ) to apply the discount when I arrive in store. Finally to my surprise, arriving at the branch, it has closed down. Along with the whole of Mat & May. This means I lost my initial purchase amount, lost the safety of my insirance because an employee did not submit my forms and now the opportunity to buy a new paor and paying off the old one still. So now Foschini group ? What now ? Again the customer service had been 0 out of 5
I bought expensive Ray-Ban sunglasses on account and requested insurance. The glasses broke in Feb/Mar at which point I returned it to Mat & May Canal Walk store where it was bought. They then told me that there will be no additional costs due to the fact that I have insurance as requested upon purchase. Fast forward 6 months, 4 phone calls to ask about the progress and one complaint to customer care, I now received a call from the manager ( who has not been in store once on my 2 visits and 4 phone calls and was supposed to call me back every time ) to say that I never had insurance and there is nothing they can do. They papers must have not been submitted, although I signed the forms in store. I fail to see how it is my problem that the forms got lost? Surely it is not expected of me to check that a employee does his work? Especially with no manager present and the manager informing me the employee in question is not at the store anymore. I want a solution, replacement or money back otherwise I am just going to blast it on social media till I get a response
I have been studying with Damelin since 2017 and was supposed to finish Nov 2018. It is now April 2020 and I still do not even have the marks of assignments submitted in Oct 2018 ( which was shown to me is on their system by a representative named Shakier Achmat - Cape Town office ). I will list all the different items below on how poor my experience with Damelin has been: 1. Submitted all assignments in Oct 2018 ( before due date ) to write exams in the Nov window to graduate . To date I have received 3 assignment marks and 4 are still outstanding after it was submitted via email ( all 7 to the same address and on the same date ). I had to resubmit my Math assignments because they could not "find" them. The rest is showing on Damelins system, I saw it with my own eyes. 2. After asking for my exam dates, which should have been sent to me a month in advance, I received the first batch a day after I was supposed to write my first exam. I received 3 dates for 3 subjects which all needed to be written in the course of a week ( keep in mind that this is within 3 days of receiving my exam confirmation dates after applying for it in October ). Upon asking a date revisal the lady at Damelin sent me a new list with dates but only included 3 of my 6 exams. November 2019 window came and exactly the same happened. 3. After writing my Math exam in the Nov 2018 window ( signing in twice before getting my paper and once after handing it in ) it just got lost somewhere. Nobody can give me answers. Upon querying this, the person from Damelin implicated that I was lying about the fact that I did indeed write the exam. Keep in mind that all 6 exams were paid in full before the November 2018 window. 4. After signing a debit order with Damelin for the full amount of the course of the duration of 2 years, miraculously after 6 months of the payments were done, Damelin came back claiming that one payment is still outstanding. Very odd that a debit order was signed for the full amount. 5. After having completed all my exams during the course of last year, RE-submitting all my assignments and numerous emails and even an in person meeting at Damelin in Century City, Cape Town with Shakier Achmat, I still don't have all my assignment marks or my exam marks or any correspondence on when I will receive this. It has now been almost a year and a half after I should have received my diploma and started working in that direction, but still nothing. 5. Correspondence from Damelin in a whole has been 0.5 out of 10 ( only reason I don't give a zero is because they do reply, sometimes, after about 3 months. And don't even try calling because they will NEVER answer ).
