Even after being shafted for R16000.00 by Matingwe Lodge and Hotel.com in lockdown period, Itaga Lodge and Bookings.com gave us a voucher for a year, no questions asked as they understood the effects of covert-19 lockdown. In this lockdown Matingwe Lodge just canceled our R16000.00 holiday cause they couldn't reach my wife days before we were to arrive. now we are out of cash and they keep saying As we explained yesterday, we have not received your payment from Hotels.com/Expedia. You have to apply to hotels.com/Expedia for your refund. They take full payment from the guest but the property where the booking is made does not get paid until the day of the guests arrival. Hotel.com/Expedia is one of many online travel agents who make bookings, with Matingwe Lodge, for their clients. Hotel.com/Expedia is your agent – you booked through them. Please understand that we have not received your money. Our advice is that you go to their website with your reservation number and send them an email on their booking system. We cannot speak to Hotel.com on your behalf, for a refund, because we are not the client who made the payment. We did cancel your reservation on Monday 27 April, with a message to you, on their system, and were hoping to hear from you but heard nothing. As you can see on the booking form below there are no contact details for us to communicate with the guest directly, so we have to communicate with guests via hotel.com/Expedia admin system.
