Really quick turnaround, even better than what Takealot can offer. I ordered a CCTV camera on Friday, it arrived today (Monday) via The Courier Guy. Really easy ordering process and extremely efficient delivery. Better service than Takealot, who delivered the wrong product. Would definitely recommend using these guys.
Our internet has been out since Tuesday, today is Friday. The outage was initially caused by Vumatel performing a switch upgrade on the local POP. My first complaint is with this "planned outage", that was not even communicated to us. Various neighbours had a similar outage (Vumatel, but different ISPs) but all of them were able to resolve their issue with restarting their ONT and WiFi Router. I tried that several times without success. Each time I spoke to an agent at the call centre, I was given the same scripted answer that the outage was due to the work Vumatel were doing, even though I gave examples of other users getting a resolution while we didn't. Vumatel finished their work on Thursday 17h00. By 20h30 on Thursday evening we were still not up & running. I am a remote worker, so a stable internet connection is critical to my job. Another furious call to the call centre, where they once again asked me to power cycle the devices, then reset the wifi router and reconfigure it and still nothing. Their only solution was to wait until 08h00 on Friday for someone to get back to me. There is not even an option to escalate the call beyond the call centre agent, even if one asks. Friday 08h00 no call, so by 08h30 I took it upon myself to call. Still no resolution and after much teeth gnashing, I was allowed to speak to a supervisor (Thokoza I believe was her name). She read from the same script and was unable to resolve my problem. I asked to be put through to the Customer Services Director (Theo ?) and was told he was unavailable as he was in a meeting. I asked for his direct number, but was not allowed to receive that. So a customer that is paying close to R4k per month, for 3 lines, and is really upset, is not allowed to speak to the person in charge of Customer Service. That doesn't sound right. I was told he would phone me once he was done with his meeting. The meeting must be really important, as it is now 15h20, so 7 hours later, and still no call back from Theo. He must really appreciate his customers. We've now had people from the escalation team (Princess) call us, but still no resolution. A call has been logged by Home-Connect to get Vumatel technicians out at 17h00. I don't hold any great hopes they'll arrive, as the incorrect address was given on the ticket. The ticket on the Vumatel side has been closed (email notification) with no option for us to re-open it. All we can do is rate the service ... how do I rate a service I haven't even received yet, other than with a 1. We've always been quick to recommend Home-Connect to friends and family. Very unlikely after this poor response from them
Placed 2 orders on 6 May 2020, both for delivery in Knysna. The 2 addresses are 2.8km apart. 1 order was delivered (on Monday for Mother's Day on Sunday). The other order was not delivered. I finally get hold of someone in the call center today, who tells me the florist has closed, and that is why the order was not delivered. Yet the order placed 12 order numbers later was delivered. They can offer me a refund or a voucher. What use is that when the flowers should have been delivered last Sunday.
