I was called by a broker representing this business the week before last and decided to sign up with Discovery Insure as my vehicles are currently insured with First for Women and Budget respectively. I already have medical aid with Discovery (my wife is on the oncology benefit) and decided to move my vehicle cover over as well. The broker assured me there would be no debit order going off of my account with my current insurers and that he would cancel my existing insurance on my behalf. I am sure you can imagine my unhappiness when both my current insurers and Discovery Insure debited my account. The net result is that my medical aid debit order bounced meaning neither my wife nor myself is currently covered in terms of our medical aid.
The mix-up between Vumatel and Afrihost has been nothing short of spectacular! My tenant moved out of my property and removed the wi-fi box from the wall along with his router and modem. I moved in to my home and had already placed an order with Afrihost. Vumatel assumed that it was a simple line migration (the line had also not been cancelled by my tenant) and in reality it was a new installation. We are now at the point where between Vumatel and Afrihost I am still sitting without fibre resulting in over R2000 rand worth of debit orders and a further R2000 of data that I have had to purchase. My work has also suffered as I have had to use my phone to attempt to dial into calls with various stakeholders. Could someone help me????
SHOCKING SERVICE FROM THIS COMPANY!! I have been waiting over a month now for them and VUMATEL to sort out the mixup between a line migration and a new installation at my property!!!! Afrihost - true to form debit my account as soon as the order is placed from their very unfriendly ''client zone'' and a month later I am still waiting for assistance. Can someone assist me, please???
