My husband and I visited the Mount edgecombe, Hillhead branch to get a frame cos the glasses we got from them broke twice cos of cheap quality frames and had to pay both times and on the last visit we wanted to replace his frame again which was 800 rand every time we replaced it. Then the new ppl we saw there insisted we redo eye tests and it costed us 450 for me and my husband, we ordered his glasses and the new optician who is a junior did his eye test and multifocals. I kept asking for kassojee but they were always not available on every visit. I asked for my prescription which I was charged 450 for but they kept using delay tactics and never did get the script to me. This afternoon I get a WhatsApp saying kassojee wants and additional 390 to email me my script, which is bull****. I was not confident in the script and wanted a second opinion, since she has junior girls working for her who are ***********. They don't even get the phone numbers correct to have common courtesy to follow up on the patient butvery fast to ask for money and swipe our debit cards. I don't recommend them. Il never give them business after my horrible experience with them. Greedy and overcharge for nonsense. R 390 to send an email. I don't advise ppl to go to them. My husband ordered multifocals too, but can't see distance and he is a driver. Lots of customers are having incorrect prescription spectacles with them lately. I'm very annoyed and disgusted with them. ******* services.
I ordered an ink cartridge and the supplier didn't have stock, they sent me a delivery date 15 days away when I expected it in 3 days, so I called them and said I will not wait so long as I can get it from a supplier in my area so they cancelled my order and said a credit will be allocated and refund given to me...3 days they said...it's immediately refunded and my bank will process it..depending on my bank...? I called my bank...they said no the merchant must release payment...on their side...they say it's a dispute form to be filled now which can take 30 days...these PPL are such rogues..I must waste my airtime and emails and get false responses and promises yet no solution...waste of time! I won't recommend them ever again..nor will I use them! They better refund my money! It was for order # 75396229 and I spoke to Melissa Gilbert. They assured me it's done but I see nothing in my bank. I phoned my bank to assist they say it's Takealot that did not release the refund. It suppose to be immediate refund as I did not get the order nor did they have stock. They didn't even notify me until I phoned them 4 times! Even emailed them..I called them on 0873628000. My bank said wait one more day and see if it is done...or they will get the legal team to investigate. I was told they don't refund debit cards and gave Melissa Gilbert my bank details, yet they processed it saying it is done on their side...my gut feeling tells me they lying and this is fishy...why did they not process payment into my bank account when I noticed them I did not use a credit card! Delay tactics from this useless incompetent thieving company.
