These guys will go out of their way to provide you great service. They have had installers come out on sundays to install my fibre. I recently moved and had zero downtime when switching my line from the old premisis to the new. They have helped me with the rare tech support issue at midnight.
I app**** over 2 weeks ago, they kept asking for the same documents over and over and over again. I had to call them to hear that it's been approved, and that someone will contact me the enxt day on signing the paperwork, I had to call them daily to finally recieve the paperwork, only to have them tack on a bunch of useless options that are neither competitive nor something I want Why will I pay R4950 for a service plan that only covers a minor service that costs less than that? Why do I want your R8500 vehicle tracker when I can get one for R99pm from a different company? I emailed the person daily to have them removed only to get ghosted by her. Every time I call she is out of the office or on tea break. This is bad bad service. It's taken so long to get any kind of response the seller has listed the car for sale again.
Dealing with King Price was a insanely painlessly experience. I called, the guy I spoke to was super nice. It was like speaking to a human being, like he wasn't just regurgitating a script like 90% of sales calls. 11/10 My first deduction went down this month. And another great plus is the fact that King Price didn't cold call me like certain other insurers who like things their way *hint*
Impaq Education (Formerly Impak Onderwys) destroyed my future. I was a great student, accepted into UP, on my way to being an engineer. I had high to mid 70s for most of my subjects, Maths and Science included. When I had to write Matric somehow, I didn't get a single subject over 35% for my prelim exams due to them using us as guinea ***s for their new exam board. There was no way for us to view these papers, we just had to take their word for it. I call bull****. But OK. No worries. I studied harder and got to my finals. Imagine how devastated I was to see the highest mark as 50% on my report. Just put yourselves in 17 year old me's shoes. (I skipped a grade) You went through every single possible question that they could have asked. You filled up at minimum 2 288 page exam pads per subject probably more.(Both sides) You worked through every available past paper from 2008 - 2012. You spend every single hour you could studying. And everything you worked for meant nothing. I paid the fees to see my papers. 75% for maths average, 70% for physics. So why is my mark 45% on my report card? Turns out these idiots lost all my work. And I mean everything. The things we delivered ourselves and they signed for. If you take the marks I got on my report card, and subtract 25% (IE The combined weighed value of the 3 quarters and record exam put together.) you get exactly whats on my report card. And of course they aren't to blame for this. They blame their new moderator group, SACAI, and SACAI blames the department of education. We drove to the department of education, and spoke to the deputy minister of education, but of course he couldn't do anything. The marks simply weren't there. UP said they couldn't enroll me because of this. Please. If you're considering putting your child through this. Don't. If you have a good reason to not send your child through a normal school, then make copies of EVERYTHING you send. Have them sign a receipt.
Let me tell you a story: It starts out with a queue. Long. Long queue. I was in my local branch of a bank that shall remain unnamed right now, hint: Blue. I wanted to take out a card to use for online purchases, and went in to get what i needed to know. After sitting on an uncomfortable chair for 2 hours, I finally got to see a consultant. I laid out the papers I had on the table, asked them why my current cheque card won't work with online purchases yadda yadda. I had a list of things I need to get and an even longer "gemoeds bekakking". Walking down the mall to get a coffee. I saw Capitec, and thought to myself: "Let me give it a try." I kid you not. 30 minutes. And I got the card I needed, less bank costs, and WAY better benefits. A few times I went into a branch, and got the answer: "You know you could have done this on the app right?" The app has some flaws, but heck! Its sooo much better than ANY of the competitors I have tried. Now the reason I'm writing this review. Today I had to update my residential address. I walked past that branch that I decided to make the change at. I walked past the queue of people waiting to go into the blue bank that isn't open yet. Walk into the Capitec branch, greeted by friendly staff members. I barely got to sit down before a consultant saw me. We had a nice chat about cattle of all things, and in 5 minutes, I was done. I walked past the queue of people that are still waiting for blue to open its doors, and just felt like I needed to thank Capitec for making banking easy. Thank you.
So I used Web4Us before, and had nothing but troubles, but decided to give them another chance 2 years ago. And at first everything went great. I think Web4Us’ biggest problem is their inability to admit they have problems. They had a problem with one of their hops, but the problem would only happen at night, and trying to get in touch with them when it happened was basically impossible. I sent them ping traces and they just said “It’s fine now” until the problem got too bad and they finally realised they had an issue with their bounce site. But thats fine. At least they tried. We had a rather bad hale storm a while back, and the hale misaligned the CPE. They refused to come and fix it due to “Not being able to due to covid” ISP’s are an essential service. They had no excuse. I had to send my dad up the tower and align it myself. About 2 months ago, my connection became basically unusable. The speed was alright-ish, but the packet loss was in excess of 60%. Even if you’re not technically inclined, a quick google search will tell you that’s unacceptable. Heck. You don’t even need to do that. So I logged a fault with Web4us. They sent out a technician. And the only conclusion he could come up with is that the problem is with my CPE. I disagreed, they remained adamant. I did the ping traces, and you can clearly see the packet loss happens at their main firewall routers IP.(More on this later) So I said “I’ll change the CPE, but I need a guarantee that that will fix the problem” They changed the CPE and the problem was the same. At this point, I started seeing paged blocked my their SOPHOS antivirus software. I have screenshots of this. And they also started blocking the software I used to test the packet loss. From the same IP Address that I can see the packet loss happening. So I confronted them about that. 2020/05/30, 11:43 am - Iwan: No worries. I see pingplotter is now blocked by your firewall? 2020/05/30, 11:46 am - Web4us Ftw: Sorry sir, I do not know anything about this as soon as technician is back I will let him answer you As you can imagine, deny deny deny. They told me that they'd rather cut my line, than to try and fix the problem. They told me that they will refund the CPE they made me buy, and that I should rather look for another ISP. I asked them to keep the connection running for the rest of the month. I would not recommend Web4Us to anyone.
