Misinformation Scam!
Please do not make use of this company! We booked a tour and brought everything that they stated we needed to bring but were not allowed access due to specific Visa requirements (that we were not made aware of). They refuse to refund us stating that it is not part of their cancellation policy but they never mentioned, or provided any information regarding, any requirements like Visa’s. Very disappointing. Feels more like a scam considering that they know there are specific Visa requirements in place. Stay Away!

Paying for nothing
Been an Absa client for 20+ years. Have now been paying two months of account and credit card fees, with no credit card to use due to Absa failing to replace my expired credit card. Multiple calls and complaints have not done anything to resolve this matter. Sending a card to a branch is taking them more than 3 weeks. This must be considered fraud or theft as I am paying for a service that I cannot make use of. Very disappointed. Very frustrating.

Unlawful Aux Charges and Failure to take responsibility
Unwillingness to accept responsibility for scamming your clients on a continuous basis. Legal confirmation received from your offices confirm that you are not allowed, by law, to deduct any addition/auxiliary charges to an end-user if a cost-free alternative is not provided. This has not been done and still you are charging the aux amount for longer than a year after being notified hereof. Failure to take responsibility and stating that the body corporate/managing company was notified hereof, although there is no contract in place between PEC and the body corporate/managing company. Please avoid this company at all cost

Accommodation not as advertised. Unwillingness to take responsibility and refund. Please avoid.
Please avoid. Made a booking at Masel****rt Resort in December. Accommodation was not as advertised with not enough cutlery or furniture provided. Braai was rusted and due to collapse at any time. Booking was made through SA Places and both parties refuse to take responsibility and provide a refund. Was forced to book alternative accommodation. Please avoid!

Unwillingness to Refund or take responsibility for accommodation that was not as advertised.
Please avoid! Made a booking at Masel****rt Resort in December. Accommodation was in terrible condition with issues like not enough cutlery, furniture and the braai was due to collapse at any moment as a result of the structure being rusted. SA Places are unwilling to refund or take responsibility for the accommodation booked using their platform. Terrible service as continuous delayed responses to our query, even after a letter of demand was provided. Please avoid using their services.
