What an amazing experience! The food truly was ‘our of those world’!
This Spa and all its staff are absolutely amazing. They are so attentive - our massages, wax etc was fantastic. I would highly recommend them to anyone! What a truly lovely bunch of people Thank you to all of you!
I had the great fortune of having my 50th birthday celebration at River Place. I had booked for 36 people and most slept over that evening. I was truly very pleased with them before, during, and even after the whole event!! My guests were all commenting on the friendly staff :-) the lovely food and the beautiful venue! The rooms were clean (COVID clean) and comfy. THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERY STAFF MEMBER WHO MADE THE EVENT SO SPECIAL
I was initially impressed at our first meeting but that was short-lived! "They will do everything" became more like I must follow up and sort out and then they finalize! I had to follow up every time, from the day we went to them, hours after my Dad was taken to the mortuary. We were charged R3200 for a wooden box the size of a pencil case (coffin costs) where his ashes were given in. According to Martin, the lovely box will have a silver plaque with my Dad's details on When we eventually received it, there was no plaque, just his name and date of birth and death engraved in the wood... again I say, for R3200! They needed the GP to sign the B1 form - even this I had do get involved in. I had to follow up every day on where we are with finalizing everything. Eventually, we got to the point of being able to collect his ashes, after telling me that they are too busy to deliver on the Friday, I said my Mom and I would collect it early on the Saturday before going to sort out his mobile contracts etc. I pointed out we would need to pop in and collect as we have a lot to do. We got there at 10h45 and the ashes weren't even there. No one had phoned us to tell us this. We waited and eventually got it at 11h40. I am just grateful my Mom did not have to do this on her own as she was already so upset with my Dad's passing. @MFG - you are in this industry dealing with the living that have just had a huge loss. Don't take advantage of them by overpricing AND not being able to deliver the service you claim to provide.
