Who knew a cancellation for an ADSL contract would land me to being blacklisted. Telkom's cancellation service is an absolute insult to customers and their customer service. I had cancellation my service with Telkom in April of 2025, only to continue being billed month after month. Imagine going in store to a different branch thereafter, only to be told, the manager herself does not deal with disputes, they only deal with in-store sales? Imagine having to call 10+ times to try getting through to the correct channel to dispute your claim. Imagine having to involve lawyers, and submit lawyers letter's on a consistent basis only to no avail? After so many months, you are left with no energy to pursue anything, but yet still go on. I recently went to a consultant at a local Telkom store, who was the most helpful in all my dealings with Telkom, she has disputed the matter for me based on the info i provided her. Today i check in for an update, only to be told, my case is with the ***** department. How can something so simple go so south ?? Telkom, your customer service is an absolute disgrace to your brand. I am not the only customer that has disputed this online, and it's sad to see that no interest is taken to resolve your part in the matter. Paid 9k for a brand new Iphone X last year. Been babbling for months on end where i was told the shipment is delayed etc, it got to a point where i was wanting a refund and i was told unfortunately it cannot be done, however "We can arrange a payment plan of R100 a month back to you." Doesn't take rocket science to say what was going on when i received that message. I then took this further to lodge a case against him and i could not locate or track him thereafter.
I was looking at purchasing my first vehicle this year and i approached Mit Mak for my dream car which was advertised on their platforms .. I had dealt with Wayne. Whenever i called he was always busy, nor did he reply to my messages timeously. Upon getting finance approval to pursue the deal further from Mit Mak, he comes back to me with an estimate for the incorrect vehicle which was much higher. The car was advertised for 230k. He had put through the estimate at 260k. When i said why are you charging me so much more, he said they advertised the vehicle at the incorrect price. As i went on to say that is not my problem, and they should honor what was advertised (Multiple times at that) .. He advised he would come back to me with the final figures. Needless to say he did not and only came back to me once the vehicle was sold 2 days later. As a first time buyer, this experience was nothing but pathetic from my side.
