I took my Ecu in for testing. They gave me a report of multiple faults. They quoted me a major price (I am a pensioner) - over 6k to repair. I paid 50% deposit. 5 days later they phoned me and told me the Ecu was repaired. I went to fetch it and asked for a report after fixing - should be tested and a report issued. They told me it's fixed and there's no report. The technician repairing my car fitted the Ecu and it did not work. He did a diagnostics and found the Ecu had the same faults that it had before repairing. I suspect that the repair technicians are not properly trained to repair ECU's. I am really disappointed that a company like Ecu Express can do such bad work. This is a very bad reflection on the company and it damages the reputability of the said company. I am returning the Ecu and want an immediate repair and a report after the repair. I am not waiting 7 days as they advertise. Very unhappy pensioner.
I did work for Strata Drilling on 2021/01/20 - repair of a hydraulic press. I sent the invoice and after 30 days I sent a mail and was told that I was on the pay schedule for Friday 2021/02/26. Till today I have not received payment. I just want to caution suppliers and customers to be careful of using Strata Drilling as they do not pay. The amount owed is a paltry amount and this raises a red flag as to the ethics of Strata Drilling.
I previously wrote a preview on my experience with Mitsubishi SA. They refused to replace my clutch under warranty - it only lasted 2 months. I took the clutch, pressure plate and thrust bearing to a clutch specialist and was informed that the thrust bearing was running full time under load. The specialist said that there were 2 mistakes Mitsubishi made. 1) With the first clutch replacement they did not replace the dual mass flywheel. This is supposed to be changed with every clutch replacement. 2) Setting of the thrust bearing was incorrect causing the bearing to be running full time under load. Mitsubishi then informed me that as a gesture of goodwill they would supply the dual mass flywheel and the labor free of charge - next mistake, as they virtually admitted guilt to not following clutch replacement protocol and bad workmanship. I had to pay a sum of R10000.00 towards the clutch which according to me was a rip off as the clutch replacement should have been under warranty. I am going to go viral with this and I hope that other future Mitsubishi clients realize that Mitsubishi does not give a damn about anything except making excuses and making money. The client means nothing.
I bought a new Triton 2.4 DID. Since the day I received the vehicle I have had nothing but problems - 3rd gear jumping out, gearbox oil leaks, damaged clutch plate. The bakkie was at various Mitsubishi dealers - Mitsubishi Centurion, Mitsubishi Beacon Bay and Mitsubishi Pinetown - in total the gearbox was removed 5 times and the gearbox still leaked. Clutch was replaced and 2 months later started slipping again. Mitsubishi Centurion and Mitsubishi South Africa refuse to fix under warranty stating that the vehicle was overloaded. I tow a Sprite Sprint caravan which weighs 760kg. Where is the overloading? I am totally disgusted with the service that I have received. There is no after sale service and the 5 year warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. I would not recommend Mitsubishi to anyone. Mitsubishi does not have the expertise to repair vehicles.
