Amp warranty rubbish
They are a rubbish warranty. I have a 2011 audi q5 3.0 tdi quattro stronic with an auto gearbox. The clutch failed. They refused to pay for the clutch as they stated that the clutch has to be physically broken for them to cover it so on a R80k repair they paid R12.5k from the wear and tear cover. I overhauled the gearbox from a RMI approved workshop and paid R39k. They refused to pay for the mechatronics as they said it was not faulty. Even on the initial claim they stated that they covered it thrpugh the wear and tear cover but if they did cover only R7.5k from the clutch cover they would only pay for the clutch, they would not cover the removal and replacement of gearbox, seals, oil, solenoids(even though you cannot replqce a clutch without removing and refitting gearbox and seals and changing oil. A month later the mechatronics unit failed and damaged my clutch. The clutch is covered under the guarantee from the workshop that overhauled the gearbox but again the quote was ar34k they are only covering R24k(below the limit of the gearbox cover) -below the incl vat cost of the mechatronic unit its self. They ate not paying for the oil and labour either. Pathetic service. A few months ago they refused to pay for egr and catalytic converter replacement when the cat was full beyond ability to regenerate. I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND AMP TO ANYONE.
