Checkers Sixty60 deceives their customers! I ordered 8 Bravecto products which was advertised at R210 each. (Black Friday special). No limit per customer was stated ANYWHERE on the site. When I paid, I only got one item at the discounted price, the rest were charged at R250 (which does not reflect in your basket when you check it before checkout). To make things worse, they didn't deliver at the expected time. When I called customer care 2 hours after the expected delivery time, they promised that the person in charge of those deliveries would call me, and the customer care agent was also going to call me back to ensure my query had been attended to. Nobody called me. They then attempted to deliver on Sunday morning while I wasn't home. My order was subsequently cancelled and I was given a credit - all without communicating with me once. The customer care agent told me that when I signed up for their application, it is stated in the Ts&Cs that I will only get one product at the discounted price and the rest at a higher price. REALLY? Where exactly is that stated? The only prices which appeared on the site was the discounted price of R210, and a price of R345 which was crossed out - was that the regular price?? The price of R250 (rounded off) which I was charged for the other 7 items did not appear ANYWHERE on the site. (I do have screenshots of all of this). Does the same limit per customer apply to specials on baked beans??? I am really cheesed off by Checkers Sixty60, the way they handle customers and the way their app works - they DECEIVE customers. Their claim of delivery within 60 minutes is also NOT TRUE. Delivery is sometimes very quick, other times, like in this instance, they did not deliver AT ALL on the day specified! Why did I have to phone to find out where the delivery is? Why did they not let me know that delivery will not take place on the specified day? Really Checkers Sixty60, you need to up your performance. People will go somewhere else if you don't perform as promised. The other irritation is that there is no way of contacting Checkers Sixty60 on the application. You also can't reschedule your delivery to another day (like in this case where they simply decided to change my delivery day to Sunday, which did not suit me). They claim to have something like 33million customers in SA - that may reduce if they don't change the way they operate.
Excellent service. Good, new equipment which can fix blocked drains. Friendly workers, efficient methods.
Do not use Des Plumbers when you have a blocked drain! Their equipment is old and not sufficient. We called them out to open a partially blocked drain. The equipment was too short to reach the end of the drain so not all roots were removed from the pipe. Three weeks later the drain blocked up again. We called them out again. Again the rod could not reach the end of the drain pipe. This time they wanted to start digging holes in our lawn to find the drain pipe and the blockage!!! I called RotoRooter which I have been using for the past couple of years. They arrived within two hours, unblocked the drain by removing ALL the roots up to the end of the pipe and were done in 45 minutes. They are more expensive than Des Plumbers but its worth the money. Des Plumbers sent me an invoice for a call out fee which I queried. Letitia was going to discuss it with the owner and give me feedback. No reply - next thing I receive the invoice again, with a threat that I will be handed over to debt collectors. Obviously this leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. If possible, don't use Des Plumbers! Rather pay more and get excellent service.
