This is a review of DIs-Chem Online Ordering. I ordered items (3 boxes of syringes) online because the website showed that my local Dischem did not have stock. Several stores in the greater area showed stock in the form of Very Low Stock and In Stock. After 3 days, I phoned to follow up. The number on the email, while taking you to a call centre cannot really help as they have to contact your local store to find out what is happening to the order. The lady at Cresta Online Orders (I was transferred there) said she can't find stock in any of the stores so there are no goods to deliver. It would take several days to find out if they can get the items ordered 3 units. She said she had tried to phone me multiple times but my phone went to voice mail. This was not true as I received no missed calls or no SMS's advising of missed calls. I don't like being **** to. She also advised me that Very Low Stock actually means No Stock. I find this also untruthful. Going back online I told her which stores nearby are showing In Stock. She said she would follow up and let me know next week. This was patently unacceptable. She changed her mind to call me back that day. Dis-Chem online clearly is very poor. Stock quantities can't be re**** on. The desire to source the item I had paid for seems non existent. Don't use Dis-Chem for online orders. Either buy is store or buy elsewhere.
I got a quote from Mildo to replace some old steel windows. I was happy with the quote and ready to accept. I queried one of their Terms of Service where they state they do NOT clean the windows after installation. Taken aback I queried this. They confirmed but did not provide any explanation. They offered to send a cleaning service at extra cost after installation to do the cleaning. If I bought a new car, pair of jeans or a book, I would expect it to be clean on purchase, who wouldn't. The job required making good the plaster around the windows and so I would expect plaster splatter, dirt and finger prints across the frame and glass, no matter how skilled the workman. To deliberately state they would not clean the windows seemed out of alignment with what I would expect from a quality service oriented company. After raising this as an issue with the office and the salesman, they made no attempt to rescue the deal. Whether this is arrogance, poor quality ethic or something else I have no idea, but I was not going to waste my money finding out. Sorry Mildo, someone else will get the job.
I contacted Dean at Paving Logic as I required a repair done to stone wall cladding as part of an insurance claim. He came to my house on a Thursday and promised me a quote by the following Monday. The following Thursday, I had heard nothing and contacted Dean and he promised by the following day. Nothing arrived, On Tuesday, I followed up on Whatsapp. He did not read the message. On Wednesday I followed up again. He did not read the message. On Friday, I tried calling twice which went unanswered. Thinking that as he had not yet read my messages, perhaps there was a problem, so I called the other contact on his voicemail, his partner and father Norman, He answered and said he would follow up. It is now 15 days since the initial visit and promise of a quote. A little while later I get a Whatsapp from Dean saying that they are too busy to do the work. He did not even have the decency to phone me. Thanks for wasting my time Paving Logic. You could have told me that two weeks ago, instead of stringing me along. You clearly do not value customer service. They may be great at doing paving (I will never know) but am glad I got to see how much they value customers before I spent any money. If they are on your list as a potential supplier, perhaps give them a miss. There are businesses out there that value customers much more than Dean and Paving Logic do.
