We as vendors at the Durban ICC are frustrated and agitated due to the aircons not working. We have had ample complaints from customers that they can not shop due to the extreme temperatures in the exhibition center. We as vendors have complained several times about the aircons and are losing sales due to the customers leaving because they finding the heat too much too handle. There are several tik tik videos going viral advicing people not to attend the Summer souk this year due to the temperatures in the ICC.
Vodacom is robbing me I had cancelled my LTE contract with Vodacom due to the fact that they could not deliver good speeds my area Overport Durban. I had requested to cancel for this reason. At the time of cancelling they didn even try to retain me as a customer and try to resolve the issue. They just cancelled n I had like 3 days to find another ISP. Now they are saying I must pay R9000 for the remainder of the contract. How ridiculous is that as I already signed another contract and now I can't afford to pay this. When I email, they want all the proof for the queries raised for the low speeds. After providing all the information l, they just go quiet. When you call them, they just push you from pillar to post but no 1 bothers to take the initiative to try and resolve the issue.
Vodacom are thieves. They firstly could not deliver proper LTE service in my area as the towers were flooded and I was getting 0.3mb download speed. I requested to cancel and clearly stated that I would not be paying any cancellation fees as its not my fault that vodacom can't cater for my needs. I get an email stating that your cancellation will be processed within 3 days. Thereafter I get an invoice and my last debit order goes off. On 1 Sep. Now in October I get an invoice stating that I owe R 8985.01 for the remainder of the contract. That is ridiculous. Their data service and customer service is pathetic and not up to standards. I would appreciate a call from them. My number is 0727110159 Nadeem Arbee
