I signed up for the toys and books subscription (for a year) and my 4th box never arrived. I have it a few days because I usually got an email from the courier at the very end of the month to say that the packages are on its way but this time that didn’t happen. I also didn’t get any emails from Charley’s Boxes to say that something might be wrong. After many missed emails, they finally responded (with attitude I’ll add. What business uses exclamation marks after every sentence to a client!?); saying that my items was involved in a hijack. No further move was made to suggest how they could fix the problem. Meanwhile, the 5th payment for boxes just went off and I still haven’t received the 4th. I politely asked for a refund and to cancel the subscriptions entirely. I don’t have patience for lack of communication and unprofessionalism. I totally understand if something goes wrong but don’t let me sit and wonder what’s up or chase you for answers. That’s not the kind of service I want to pay for.
I ordered a celebration cake early this year for my 30th birthday party which was supposed to happen in April. Then lockdown happened. I obviously cancelled the order and party altogether. Now, a few months later, I requested a refund and after consulting their accounts department, I will be charged with a penalty of 15%. Mind you, all the other vendors that I paid for in relation to my party paid me back, no penalty, because of our country’s situation. This is absolutely unfair and totally disgusting.
