I had a very bad experience at fashion world in adderley Street in Cape town. My mom wanted to purchase some sandals since she was wearing high heels and her feet started swelling. So we went in at the fashion world just outside of adderley in town. The manger and her employees started gossiping about my mom, which they though she is a foreigner. She does speak and understand isixhosa but prefers English. My mom went to one of the employees to ask something about the shoes. The lady replied in a sort of rude way as to why are you speaking English with me. And the then the manager as well intervened and was like we don't understand English and we don't speak English with Xhosa speaking people. And they were like why did you switch languages when speaking to us cause when you came in you were speaking xhosa. My whole point I'm trying to make is in the workplace you need to speak English unless the client insists you communicate with them in their language. You cannot force somebody to speak a language that they do not want to speak even if they can understand it or not. The staff at fashion world in adderley and it's manager for most of all need to be dealt with. Overall we never even got an apology for this they just went on to insult us. However I managed to take a picture of the manager since I couldn't get their names.
I bought a golden Arrow bus card worth R170 earlier this year. I told them that I want a card from Hout bay to Wynberg, However I wasn't told that the isn't a bus travelling from Hout bay to Wynberg especially during the day. That I wasn't told while purchasing the card the person who assisted me didn't tell me this. I tried going to one of their stations in town and in Wynberg, they gave me a number to call. I called Mrs Johnson she was very ignorant about the matter and told me that there's nothing they can do. I wasted so much airtime trying to call them but all they did was and promise me things they wouldn't do. The other day I called Mrs Johnson and I asked for her to call me back but she never. They even promised to give me a refund cause I never used the card and they know that to. Till today I've been waiting to hear from them to find out that the card has expired without me even using or getting my money back. Golden Arrow needs to change how they handle client related problems they don't even reply here . I'm so heartbroken.
