The tenant Lindani got for my place does not pay on time. Sometimes two months in arrears. I paid for the service yet Lindani barely responds and when I asked for a tenant that adheres to the lease agreement he said I would have to pay again.
Nombuso was very helpful. Speedy response and called back when was convenient for me.
Made a booking for passport application on 17 February. Came in and completed the whole process including payment. Didn’t receive any communication from then in which I continued calling on multiple days as I stay far from the Edenvale office. No answer until 6 April where they tell me that there was a glitch in the system and I need to come back in to reapply. The apparent office manager, Daniel, was extremely rude. If I had not contacted them I would have never known that my application had not been processed. There is no sense of accountability from the DHA. Extremely unprofessional from Daniel shouting at me in the office.
I stayed at Joy Unspeakable with learners from my school on a 2 night camp. Us teachers stayed in a little different room than the learners. The place was neat although the toilet had stains and bathroom door was breaking apart at the bottom. The cupboards in the rooms were not the best. However I was extremely disappointed with the ‘kitchen’. We have diverse learners and staff members yet the kitchen did not keep to it. We submitted dietary requirements and on the first day there we were told they did not receive anything. As an institution, once they’ve been made aware it should’ve been rectified on day 2 and day 3. To my disappointment it hadn’t been rectified. We were given the same food as the day before with salad while others had a variety on all three days. Some learners did not eat, some ate part of the food because they were hungry and even had to take allegex after eating meals that contained things they didn’t eat. I was one of the people who do not eat certain foods because of religious reasons and I felt extremely disadvantaged because of it. To my understanding if you accommodate South Africans you should provide a substitute for foods certain peoples cannot eat due to allergies, health and religious reasons. If we were told our dietary requirements could not be fulfilled we could have brought our own food. I’d recommend if you are going to this camp with people who have dietary requirements please ensure they are aware and maybe ask for a menu before hand. I’m disappointed in the management as this was not corrected at all with my time at Joy Unspeakable. To end on a brighter note, ES events, an outside company, provided the facilitators and leadership activities for the learners who thoroughly enjoyed it. They are freelancers and move from venue to venue.
I ordered off the Urban Decay website on their 50% off sale. I checked my order status on the UD website and it says my order does not exist. Cannot get through the call center either, called multiple times. I emailed and no response.
