I lodge my first claim today. The consultant Keanu assisted me telephonically. He was very helpful, kind and when my airtime was depleted, he called back. I trust that follow up will do just so good or even better. Thanks Keanu.
I have had my account with FNB for close to 20 years if not more. I praised them every chance I got and convinced many to shift banks. I am sad to say I will be moving to Capitec. When I needed not your money but your advise and support, you gave me the run around and offered me no comfort or alternatives.
Lavinia Perumal at Discovery debt recovery, it could have taken 1 call or e-mail reminder and this whole situation of being handed over to lawyers could have been avoided. After becoming unemployed, I had to stop my medical aid, after being with Discovery for almost 20 years!!!! Because it was mid year, there was a balance on my savings that I had to pay. So from July 2020 to the 23rd September, 18 emails back and forth. I have been providing affidavits, bank statements, affordability affidavits, debit dates, payment arrangement amount etc. I leave the email thread with the peace of mind that all is well. Yesterday, the 1st Dec I receive a call from a lawyer...I have been handed over. Why, I asked @Lavinia Perumal, because you never replied to my mail to confirm if account number ...... is the account that can be debited. So a simple YES FROM ME was all that was needed. A 2 second call or a follow up email was all that was needed. Now Discovery incures lawyers fees and I get threatened... During this financial crisis the pandemic has caused, I shudder to think how many more clients are experiencing the same service.
