To whom it may concern, At 11h43 on the 21st August 2024 I received a phone call form an individual who identified himself as a representative call from Vodacom; When I queried with him who he was he reconfirmed that he was working for Vodacom and started to quote my Name, ID, and E-mail address, once he did this I assumed he was in fact from Vodacom as all the information he gave me was correct; He advised me that the packages for my numbers 0828005113 and 0828062636 were to be discontinued on the 1st September 2024. – FIRST LIE; The current package is 2.6gb of data and 400minutes; He stated that they were moving me to a new package from the 1st of September which would be 6gb data and 600 minutes at the same price of R789.00 per month. – SECOND LIE He then asked me how long I had been a customer of Vodacom, and I said approx. 35 years; He then said due to this I qualify for a FREE Bluetooth speaker for each number. THIRD LIE As I said, as I thought it was directly from Vodacom I responded to all their questions, and he even called a manager to speak to me to verify on the phone. I then called the dealer that I always deal with, just to confirm that this was correct; She then told me: The package that these two numbers are on do not expire; The new package is in fact more expensive than the existing package; The speaker is not free it is in fact an “upgrade” and I therefore would not be able to upgrade these numbers for 2 years. After this discussion I did the following: Called Elite mobile to cancel everything immediately; They advised they have, and gave me a reference number 5335103; I called Vodacom direct and also advised them of the situation and asked them to ensure that this was cancelled. Vodacom cancelled that all changes for these numbers have been cancelled. I understand that the Man that first called me from Elite Mobile is Mr. Selwyn Naidoo. I have the following questions for Vodacom: How can you work with a company that blatantly lies to your customers; How can you work with a company that commits ***** on Vodacom customers; How can you work with a company that uses personal information of Vodacom customers to lie and commit ***** on Vodacom customers. I have been a loyal customer of Vodacom for approx. 35 years I have 4 numbers with you and based upon this I will never trust any call from Vodacom going forward. I would like feedback as to what action Vodacom is taking against Elite Mobile.
This is the worst pool company in the Western Cape. The are crooks and invoice you for products and services you never receive. DONT EVER USE THEM
