Dear Eric Barnard Meubels I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the handling of an issue regarding my recent purchase of living room furniture from your store. I purchased a set of recliners and a chesterfield couch in elephant gray. However, shortly after delivery, it became apparent that there was a defect in the seats of the couch. Following your instructions, the manufacturer inspected the couches and subsequently took them away, promising to send replacements. Unfortunately, I have now learned that the manufacturer has liquidated their business, leaving me without the replacement couches I was promised. I am extremely disappointed with the way this matter has been handled. I find it unacceptable that I am now left with no couches after having spent a significant amount of money on my purchase. I believe that I am entitled to a satisfactory resolution to this issue. I request that you either provide me with replacement couches of equal quality and value as originally purchased or refund the full amount of my purchase. I would appreciate a prompt response detailing how you intend to resolve this matter. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss this further. I hope that we can resolve this matter amicably and avoid any further escalation. Sincerely,
After being a client for over six years, I had the expectation that Discovery Health would be my lifelong medical aid provider. Unfortunately, after adding my son to my scheme, he fell ill and his condition stumped several doctors. After visiting a different hospital for a third opinion, extensive tests were conducted, revealing that my son required grommets due to an undiagnosed issue (initially misdiagnosed as tonsillitis at previous hospitals). This procedure was successfully completed in December 2023, and my son has been in good health since. However, Discovery initiated an investigation against me and discovered a non-disclosure issue regarding my son's previous visit to the casualty department four months before our application for membership. During this visit, he spent 20 minutes at the hospital and received treatment for a fever, which was diagnosed as signs of tonsillitis by the doctor. Although this visit was not disclosed, it was a consultation without admission to a ward, and we were reassured by the doctor that it was not serious. I am now faced with a bill of R30,000 from Discovery, in addition to other hospital bills totaling around R70,000, all stemming from a visit to the casualty department for a fever that was not included in the application. This experience has led me to lose faith in Discovery and its business practices. I will never again conduct any business with Discovery products. I urge all clients to ensure that even the smallest details of previous conditions are disclosed, as my experience has shown that Discovery will use any means to avoid paying legitimate claims
had some feedback, Eqestra the Company under written by Autocare has managed to send out an assessor to the location of the vehicle, a week later received a email stating that they are not going to pay as they found that the cause of the support brings that is worn was caused by the Oil Leak, my reply to them stated that the leak could not have occurred if the Bering that is a sealed unit has in fact not failed, the main cause of this warn brings is because a sealed Bering has failed witch resulted in the leak. so I'm 24 Days in now without a car, NO Feedback from the dealer that I bought the car 16 Emails in. this whole issue turns back to the dealer I bought the car from as I bought the car with a Noise,, when this was mentioned to the sales person he said no need to worry it could be a small rattle they can sort it out when I bring the car for a service. 1st Service under my name the dealer stated that the Car is Un safe to Drive, so Myself and my Family have been driving a car that could have caused a serious accident with fatalities. this is utterly frustrating. no assistance from Vw at this stage and the warranty just said sorry they are not paying.
buying a car is fun and exiting part of Life's achievements, well I bought a car that was un safe to drive as per latest Technician reports a noise from the gearbox when I bought the car and was told its nothing to worry about turned out to leave me with a bill of around R35000, No transportation and, after the warranty decided not to pay the claim because of a oil leak, Vehicle was for a service no leak found, on the History of the car there is also no indication of any oil leak.
