We stayed at Heaven on Vaal from 26 to 28 December. The state of the accommodation, or the unit we used is sub standard! The patio roof slab is cracked/not sealed and water drips on you when sitting at the patio table. The kitchen cupboards where missing and the worktop installed on 38x38 wood stands. The freezer was not working, all our meat defrosted. The 1 room patio door could not lock and the tiles where all broken outside the door, which is a safety hazard! The 1 shower's corners and floor was full of black mold. The other room's toilet was build against a rock protruding the wall, you have to sit sideways on the toilet! You cant use this toilet without the light as you will fall over the rocks, The ceiling fan was ineffective as it is installed right up to the soffit/ceiling. No airflow due to this. There is a TV bracket and cable, with no TV! There was no bedding for the bunk bed or the sleeping couch. Pictures are available for the above and more. I would not recommend HEAVEN ON VAAL to ANYBODY! And still the price was R3000-00 rand per day for 4 people! The booking was made through Africastay.co.za
The conditions at Heaven On Vaal are sub-standard to say the least! The accommodation did not ever have kitchen cupboards at all! A worktop was installed on roof branding wood 38x38mm. The tiles were broken in front of the 1 room sliding door, which is a tripping and safety violation. The sliding door of the room I slept in could not lock at all, which is a safety hazard on remote areas. The rooms are extremely hot inside as the ceiling fans are installed right below the soffit, and no airflow are achieved. You cannot sit straight on the 1 toilet, as rocks protrude the wall. The soffit/slab above the balcony was cracked, and water dripped on us from the unit above while sitting outside. The shower in the room I used, was full of black mold, I showered with my slip slops on! I will never recommend Heaven On Vaal to anybody, and the price they charge is ridiculous for the condition the unit is in!

The resort/accommodation is in a very poor state! The unit we stayed in had no kitchen cupboards. The top was on 38x38 wood used for roofing. The shower in 1 room was full of black mold. There was no bedding for 2 guests. The tiles in front of 1 room at the patio door was all broken, which is a huge safety concern. The sliding door could not lock at all. The slab above the patio was cracked, so water from above drips on you when sitting outside. The rocks in the 1 toilet force you to sit sideways when using the toilet, and is a danger when using the toilet in the dark. The ceiling fans are useless, as they are mounted tight up to the ceiling, no airflow comes through. The unit was not services over the 2 days of our stay. There is a TV bracket with no TV. Would NOT recommend the place to ANYONE!
