After my incident that happen on 22 December 2023. My car was fixed my Miway's handlers. But i appone inspection i realised Miway or Miway's car storage provider had broken my window switch. Now they are all claiming my windows had not been working since. I tried to communicate with Miway from when this matter started that i have pcitrures of my windows closed since they claim my switch was already broken therefore my windows couldnt be closed. I have pictures of the Tow truck taking my car on the day of the eccident which Miway refused to look at. Till today they telling me that thier decision to not fix their carelessness is "Fair and Just". MIWAY HAS BEEN THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY i have ever been with. BECAREFUL how they handle your vehicle they will not pay for their neglegence. As for me I am ready to cancel everything with them. They are useless. NB They do not respond well to kindness.
I don't usually write negative reviews, but I'm quite frustrated with the situation regarding my car. It's been a series of letdowns, and I've had to consistently ask for updates every week and still get endless excuses. First of all, my incident happened on the 22nd of December 2023. Fine, my claim was processed quickly, then the nightmare started. Firstly, I was told this whole thing would take 10 working days, and I would have my car back. Since it was during the festive season, they told me they would find a panel beater workshop that's open during this time of the year. I was happy to hear that. I came here, wrote a beautiful review, and praised Miway. I then waited for the 10 working days and proceeded to ask for an update. I was then told they couldn't find one, but they would take my car in from the 2nd of January. After the 2nd of Jan, I asked again what is happening with my car; I was told they haven't moved it to the panel beaters; they are only opening on the 8th of Jan. Come 8th of Jan, I get an email from their panel beaters. "As discussed, the above-mentioned vehicle is booked for repairs on the 15th of January 2024." From there, it went downhill. On the 26th of January, I asked them about the status of my vehicle; they said they haven't received authorization to work on the car. Fine, I CC Miway; that gets sorted out; they send everything to them and CC me in the emails. On the 5th of Feb, I ask again, what is the status of my vehicle; I don't get a response to my emails. Later, I get a WhatsApp message saying, "Good day sir, please note we have just received the updated authorization for your vehicle; we are currently awaiting parts to arrive, regards." I ask them how because this was resolved 10 days ago; they proceed to say, "we received the updated auth an hour ago." Later in the week, I ask them again about the status of my car; till today, they are still waiting for parts that are, for some reason, always going to arrive in two days from the day you ask. Mind you, this whole process started on the 22nd of December, and I was told it would take 10 working days. I'm puzzled as to why Miway isn't thoroughly vetting these panel beaters, especially considering the negative reviews here in Hello Peter. At this point, I think Miway should provide me with a courtesy car due to the numerous unfulfilled promises. If I don't have my car back by the end of this month, I'm seriously considering switching insurances. This situation is frustrating and unacceptable.
These guys have had my car since January. I received an email from them informing me that my car has been booked for the 15th January 2024. On the 26th of January I ask them what is the status of my vehicle, they say they havent received authorisation on to work on the car. Fine I cc my insurance that gets sorted out they send everything to them and CC me in the mails. On the 5th of Feb i ask again , what is the status on my vehicle, I dont get a response on my emails. Later i get an whatsapp message saying "Good day sir, please note we have just recieved the updated authorisation for your vehicle, we are currently awaiting for parts to arrive,regards". I had been involved in an accident. Called my insurance and I was blessed by Fortunate Sibiya. She could tell I wasn’t used to this situation but she calmed me down and held my hand through out the whole process. She made the process extremely easy and quick. I really appreciate it. I couldn’t even get a chance to stress about the car. 😂😂
