last year may I have bought a 70" JVC smart TV from PNP hyper in klerksdorp north west and ever since I have received the TV the experience have been nothing short of distraught and heartache for me as a consumer. Few days after receiving the product it started acting up like it would freeze in the middle of entertainment and restart itself which I didn't really take it to head as I was still able to watch afterwards but in January this year something out of the ordinary occured where the TV was showing that it is on but not displaying anything which I immediately took it back to the seller and logged a technical fault call which took the whole month to be fixed. I just received my TV back 2 days ago which I was happy to be able to enjoy my hard earned money again but to my suprise that did not last as I woke up this morning to a TV that is not working not even switching on, mind you taking this back and forth cost me over a thousand already for transport fee. all I want is my money back because it does seem like this product is a distortion of a consumer's money which shouldn't even be on the shelves to be sold to people. I have heard about similar occurrence from other consumers even shop consultants.
I have had the worst experience with Vag spec Klerksdorp I booked my car for service on the 19th of August Which I called in on the 16th of August to make a booking. On that Friday when I called spoke to a lady by the name Tanya Asked her if they work with service plans which she said yes and we discussed the details on the phone and she said I must sent her details of my Service plan as I informed her I already spoke to them and all she have to do is get authorization for Monday which we agreed on, to my surprise Monday the Day of service she sends me a quote on WhatsApp, and I asked her if this just my invoice to show what has been done with the service and she tells me that’s the money I need to pay before the car can leave the workshop my question again was did you inform the service plan as discussed on Friday, and she said no I have to call it in but I must know the car cannot leave the workshop until it is paid even if I get the auth. I did get auth even though the service plan authorized for minor service and the car was due for major service. On that Monday because was already late she told me actually they have only assessed the car so I can take the car but have to pay R850.00 for assessment which I did pay okay after I picked up the car Monday afternoon when I use brakes my dashboard lights go on which is something my car never did before I informed Tanya about the issue because I had to bring my car back for service on that Wednesday 21st August, she said she will tell the tech to check it out I took my car in that Wednesday with the hopes that everything will be fine, long story short I left the workshop about 5 pm in the afternoon But when I got there after she said that the car is ready for pick up, I got there, and the service lights were not reset which I instantly picked it up and service book not stamped Car full of rats **** on the passenger side which I think came from the engine when they replaced the pollen filter dove the car nonetheless only to pick up that my dashboard lights still comes on when I brake I called Tanya again informed her of my encounter which I was not very happy with and she said she did inform the tech but she will follow up why it’s not done. I went back again to the workshop the next day which I met a very rude tech who made me feel like I do not know my car and told me them servicing the car what does it have to do with all those problems I pointed out and mind you there was air con re-gas done on the car and even when the air con is switched off is still blowing. I also later discovered my back seatbelt buckles have disappeared, and my bonnet is not opening. This was the first and last time I took my car to that workshop.
I was involved in accident Monday morning in klerksdorp which is where I stay. I made a call to PMD about my car and they suggested that my car be towed to vreeniging for assessment. I ask the consultant why my car has to go that far and she said that they only have an asesser there but prior to that I then asked how is my car is gonna come back to klerksdorp and then she said I shouldn't worry about it as the insurer is the one that took my car there and now that my car have to come back to klerksdorp for repairs, the consultants tell me that no it's too expensive to take the car back to klerksdorp which is where the car was initially. now my question is why did they have to take the car couldn't they have appointed the assessor to come assess the car at home and invistigations be conducted and nobody can help with that. and as per policy that you offered you did stipulate that I have unlimited tow services and now that I need one you change the tone of the music. no 2 when PMD initially convinced me to join them they promised a lesser excess to my claims and which will go down monthly but now when I make a claim I find out that my excess went up with the whole R3000. 00 after 2 years with you and reason being I'm under 30 years which I've been since the day I joined this company. I just want to stipulate that you guys are crooks and fly by night company I can't believe I left my previous insurer to this mediocrity after this I'm definitely canceling my services with you guys. I ignored all the red signs that were there everybody warned me about you guys but I took a chance as a believer that maybe people are just exaggerating. I'm definitely taking this up with the legal department you can't keep scheming hard working south Africans of their hard earned money like this
