When will Makro intervene when a seller on their online platform does not meet any of their commitments? I bought two couches on the 8th of November and waited patiently for the delivery scheduled for 27th of November. On the 27th of November I started following up as the status online indicated that it was not shipped yet, after several follow-up call the couches eventually arrived on the 8th of December. On unwrapping the couches I discovered this is some cheap couches that is completely not even close to the style, colour or fabric type i ordered. I immediately contacted Makro and they advised me to book a return for a refund. I booked the return about two hours after the couches was delivered, shortly afterwards the courier guy arrived with a small vehicle not suitable for the size of the couches. The return was cancelled by Makro because the collection failed. After speaking to costumer support again I had to book the return again. After several calls and emails to Makro support I am still waiting for the couches to be collected and support have the same reply every time "We will escalate it for you"
I enquired about adding my pets to my existing car insurance, Christopher Viljoen made the process quite painless and we were done and dusted in about 7 minutes.
I bought a filter storage tank with delivery, after 3 days it was not sent out and I arranged with then to send my own courier as there excuse was that they have have issues with their courier. They would refund the shipping cost. On the 27th of February 2025 my courier collected the item, and ever since then I emailed when numerous times, confirm bank details, reconfirming again, to just following up everytime getting a ”we will pay it soon”
The *****man based in pretoria is 300km from my location. Yet we are on the I'm still waiting for my delivery a week and halve later. I placed an order on Sunday the 14th of April, on Tuesday day evening they sent an email saying it will be sent the next day, two days later on Thursday evening they sent an email that they don't have stock on one of the items, I rep**** and told them to increase the quantity of one of the items to match to total amount, it is Tuesday evening of the following week and im still waiting for the delivery, my Temu package I ordered on the same day arrived today(from China)
Useless. My last international package was not even intended the fall in their hands as I thought the EMS courier will deliver it to my door. Needless to say the international tracking nr stops at "Arrival at delivery office - ZA21202" and there it has been sitting for weeks now, the local branch assures me it is not with them yet. They can't even trace it at the branch as there system can only trace domestic tracking nr's and to get your domestic tracking nr you need to actually get a reply from the customer service email address and good luck with that!
