I received abysmal service and customer care from the Harrington's Dry Cleaner outlet at Pick n Pay in Constantia Village. I trusted them with my bedding only to have the two @Home pillows returned with condensation on the inside of the plastic bag and the pillows covered in mold or mildew black stains. THIS COMPANY IS CERTAINLY REMOVING CRITICAL PROCESSES IN THEIR CLEANING TO REDUCE THEIR COSTS. After nearly three months and the pillows many returns to the cleaner and with the pillows still showing stains, I requested a refund of the cleaning fee and two new pillows. The lady behind the counter actually laughed at me. I explained that although most of the stains had been removed, what about the pillow inner? Surely the mildew/mold would be on the foam? And we sleep on these pillows! I asked for the number of the owner – Harold Cohen – whom I called. My call was not answered and I left a message. He certainly did receive my message, but did not call me back, but instead, I received a abrupt message to collect my pillows. I took them with hesitancy and they have been in my spare room – with no one sleeping on them – and they are smelly and actually smell like some else's house. I would not be surprised if Mr. Cohen had the store assistant take them home in a bid to further save costs. These pillows are unfortunately headed for the dump and I am out of pocket for the cost of the cleaning and now have to purchase two new pillows. I will never use Harrington's Dry Cleaners again
I decided the day before our grand baby girl’s 3rd birthday to order a box of cupcakes from Charly’s Bakery. The gifts had already been delivered and wrapped. I was hoping Charly’s would be able to fulfill the order, but understood that it may be a day or two later. I was pleasantly surprised and elated when I received an email shortly thereafter from Daniella at Charly’s confirming they would be able to complete the order. We corresponded via WhatsApp thereafter and she was efficient and wonderful to deal with. My husband and I live in the Caribbean and do all of our shopping for our family in South Africa online and this is the first time I’ve ever experienced a totally human interaction. In today’s electronic era I found this to be a refreshing and heart warming experience. Thank you Daniella for your time, energy and commitment, the beautiful and delicious cupcakes were enjoyed by all, particularly our grand baby girl ❤️
Daniel and his team at Horizon Satellite Systems are a dream to work with, from the first contact to the completion of the job. They are prompt, efficient, reliable and have that one component, so many companies today are lacking – integrity. We are overseas and had to trust that he and his company would deal with the installation of a new dish for our elderly mother with care and sensitivity. They did this and more, so much so that she gave them each a hug. We would like to thank them sincerely. We highly recommend this company!
The entire experience from the first contact and quoting system to the final email sent, to confirm our satisfaction, was an extremely positive experience. We are overseas and were not able to be present for the move, which could have added whole new level of stress, but we did not at any time feel concerned. The online quoting system is streamlined, efficient and easy to use. The constant contact and confirmation emails gave us peace of mind. This company certainly knows its business and does a fine, fine job. I would highly recommend them.
