Please don't let Martin Vermaak Attorneys take Advantage of you!
Please be careful! I am extremely surprised to see these positive reviews. I suspect Martin has paid people to write these reviews. The service I received from this firm is shocking. They sent me a draft divorce contract which was full of mistakes and the cross referencing is incorrect. It seems their intention is to present documents like that in court so that the case can get thrown out and they can charge you more money to correct their errors. I had a one hour consult with Martin and I was given a contract full of extremely basic mistakes, such as physical addresses being incorrect. He did no research in terms of obtaining bank statements to acertain actual assets and liabilities. Martin charged me 17k for this and when question regaring their hourly fees I was told they billed me as they saw fit. He and all the associates at his firm just ignore my emails now and they still have my original marriage contract. I have the mens to take this further, but my heart breaks for all the other people who are in emotional turmoil and don't have the means to fight someone like Martin.
