I am formally raising a serious complaint against Monasi Traffic Controllers for failure to pay my salary, which constitutes a clear breach of my employment contract and South African labour legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act. Despite rendering services in good faith and fulfilling all my duties, I have not been paid. Multiple attempts to resolve this matter directly with the employer have been ignored, demonstrating a complete lack of accountability and professionalism. Non-payment of wages is ******** and exploitative. Employers cannot expect employees to work and then withhold payment without consequence. This conduct has caused significant financial prejudice and hardship. Please note that this matter is now being escalated through formal legal channels, including referral to the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA). Should payment not be made immediately, I will proceed with further legal action, including issuing summons to recover the outstanding salary, interest, and legal costs. This review serves as both a warning to others and a final public record of the company’s conduct. I strongly caution any prospective employees or clients to reconsider engaging with Monasi Traffic Controllers until they demonstrate compliance with labour laws and ethical business practices. Immediate payment is demanded.
This has been by far the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had with any company. Our geyser was still under manufacturer warranty, and our household insurance company instructed us to contact Kwikot directly, as they could not get involved while the warranty was still active. When we logged the call, the claims consultant Sizwe Mashaba assured us that a technician would come out to replace the geyser before 6 PM the same day, as we had explained that our daughter is writing her Grade 12 final exams and we urgently needed hot water. A technician arrived, confirmed that the geyser was beyond repair, and said it needed to be replaced. However, he then claimed he could not install the replacement because our roof is corrugated, and instead he would leave the geyser at our home. When we asked him to wait while we confirmed this with both his office and our insurer, he agreed, but then drove off with the geyser five minutes later without saying a word. When we called Sizwe back, he casually admitted he had “forgotten to mention” that Kwikot does not install geysers under corrugated roofs. He apologized and said another technician would return with the geyser. The first technician had been rude and even swore at us over the phone, so we specifically asked not to have him sent back. A new technician came out and dropped off the geyser, telling us we would have to find our own installer. Before leaving, he removed the element from our old geyser in the ceiling, which has now caused severe leaks every time we open the taps. He explained that it was “policy” to remove the element if they don’t take the old geyser — but he did not disconnect the water, resulting in a flooded passage, water damage, and a ruined ceiling. To make matters worse, Kwikot refused to assist with the installation even after we offered to have the geyser relocated outside to make things easier. Their handling of this situation has been nothing short of shocking. Kwikot’s product quality is poor, their customer service is appalling, and their after-sales support is non-existent. To top it all off, the technician even removed the warranty sticker from the new geyser before leaving — I have photos to prove this. If you value professionalism, reliability, or basic decency, avoid Kwikot at all costs. This entire ordeal has left us frustrated, without hot water, with water damage in our home, and no accountability from the company whatsoever.
Do not ever deal with Alto Doors, once they have your money they do not care about supplying you with what was promised. We have been trying to get them to sort out issues we have experienced with them since paying for our doors. Firstly they supplied the incorrect sizes which took them over a year to resolve leaving our kitchen is an absolute disarray. Eventually they corrected the sizes but supplied 3 different shades of grey, yes thats correct, 3 different shades of grey. They are the most incompetent and refuse to rectify THEIR MISTAKES. They refuse to take ownership for their errors and we are left with an incomplete kitchen for almost 2 years now.
I had the most horrible experience ever as we placed an order for wrap doors with Rodger from Alto Doors whom quoted us and we paid upfront for our doors. Eventually when we collected the doors we found that there were doors actually short from the order and so many mismatched in colour. Our order was for storm grey doors of which we received probably 3 different shades of grey. We have been battling for over 2 years to have the correct doors supplied and cut to the correct sizes not to mention swop the different colour doors for the correct doors. Eventually after filing an urgent court application to recover our full monies paid plus interest were the doors finally supplied to us. This company appears to be professional but they clearly are not only incompetent but terrible at customer service. I would not recommend anyone do any business with them to save yourself a long term problem.
We booked a table for 20 so they could prepare and arrived promptly at 7pm. Our drinks order arrived within 40 minutes. The main meal was brought in drips and only arrived at 8.45 pm. The first people were long done with dinner before the others meals were finally brought to the table after 9pm. To make matters worse the chips were still raw and portions were half the norm as we frequented this specific franchise. Overall worst experience of each of our guests and will most definitely never visit another Mike's kitchen. My advice, stay away.
