My husband and I are formally from KZN and moved up to JHB last year. For the past year, we've been saving up and wanting to go to Villa Bianca for the all you can eat sushi. After watching numberous TikToks, we decided to go today before I relocate for KZN again next month. It was the worst experience ever! We made a reservation at 2 and arrived at 1:45. Got seated immediately and the waiter asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. It's my first time in this restaurant and we see every table with this water. We both opted for still. He comes back in 5 minutes with a bottle of Valpre still water and takes our drinks order. 15 minutes later he takes our first order down of sushi - we ordered ONLY one plate (8 pieces each). The food arrived in 1 and a half hours. It's now 3:15pm. You heard right - one and a half hours for just 16 pieces of sushi that we ate in 5 minutes. Every table around us were served, except us! The waiter comes to our table at 3:20 to advise the all you can eat sushi is now closed. We didn't even know there was a curfew?! We advised this was not acceptable and he comes back with 2 plates of sushi and says please have this as we advised we will pay only for the plates we ate and will leave. 10 minutes later he wants to take another order as he advised they made a plan. We were already so irate and said it's fine we want the bill. My Don Papa ****tail that was priced at R95 on the menu as charged at R105. The Valpre water was charged at R55 - we were unaware we were being charged for us, we thought it just came standard with the table as it's such a high end restaurant. My husbands 300ml coke was R38. We were still charged R500 for the all you can eat. My heart is breaking at the fact that we work so hard for our money and we had to pay R700 for this heartbreaking experience!! We do not even go to restaurants on a daily and this is what we got today! And yes, every table around us was devastated and went to fight it out with the manager. We just paid and left thinking about the money we would need to now spend again on supper.
