During my time at university in Pretoria, I rented at Du South between 2018 until the end of 2019. My dad had fallen seriously ill towards the end of the rental and later died early 2020. This meant that he could not afford my rent for 2 months. Instead of showing me compassion and allowing me to make a plan to pay everything back (while planning his funeral) she chained my apartment and refused entry until I paid. My apartment had everything in it including passports, clothes, furniture etc. she continually berated me and harassed me even though she knew the situation. She also entered the apartment without me being there. She is ********* and runs her business *******ly as you are required to get a court order before evicting a tenant. Until today, I have not received any of my belongings. So I warn all black students because she is also ******.
I submitted my resignation from my previous employer over 30 days ago and submitted my withdrawal from my pension fund a week later. I have been trying to get information on when I’ll be receiving the funds (or any information on whether my claim has even been processed) and have not been successful. Each time I call I am met with a rude and unhelpful consultant who transfers me to another one. Today’s attempt I was transferred 7 times until my airtime finished. This is not my first bad experience with them. Of all the times I’ve had to deal with them, it resulted in me FIGHTING for my money. It is really annoying that private companies do not give us an option on who we keep our annuities and pensions with. Momentum would be the very last option.
