I have been a victim fraudulent subscription services 27/05, only realised on the 28th that my SIM is showing "SIM not registered on the Network", on contacting telkom, they found that a Telkom Employee (mogotor - not sure of the spelling) made the purchases, not only did they increase the spending limit, they made purchases to the value of 1809.91 rand on my account, Logged a fraud case 1, suspended the line to prevent further fraudulent purchases to be made. Telkom refused to reverse transaction fees, phoned a few times, investigation pending - 4 days later notified case was closed, They were not able to confirm the comments, logged a new fraud case. Raised an account dispute, Requested cancellation of all lines with telkom as this not going anywhere. Logged another fraud case with Telkom Fraud Hotline. Phoned again, to follow up on the fraud case with Telkom - the first case was closed as Telkom rep assigned it to the wrong department, the new case is still pending investigation. The dispute even though logged on the 07/06 shows as only being logged on the 09/06 on telkom systems. Cancellation request was not actioned previously. Re-request cancellation with conversion to Prepaid, finally got references for those. tried to log another account dispute on the telkom site, errors SE8UA/RA27W unable to log the dispute. as per Telkom the fraudulent subscription were still active on my account????? Cancelled those. Telkom insists I pay first, then I may or may not get a refund. Since i did not make the purchases, I will not pay for it. Two weeks later - despite multiple calls to 180, 30-50 minute calls each, I am still not getting any joy. *** Telkom.
Bought a 12 month subscription - we used in the first few months, due to vast array of channels, of varying image quality, first part of the movie would play fine, after 5-10 minutes, youd have to stop and play again, and we had issues limited device support, and no schedules, we gave up using it, we haven't used the service for months. We tried logging in, only to find we can no longer access the service. We tried contact them to no avail, To add insult to injury, They automatically renewed in March, we tried cancel and get a refund, again - we sent message via their site, no response. We tried to get our bank to reverse the debit order - since, they dont list an email address on their site, and only have the webform to submit - we dont have record of these, the bank refused to reverse, even when shown the HelloPeter complaints around the same issue. DO NOT SIGN UP.
