Water Tech Plumbing have done two jobs for me. Jaco Smit is a smooth talking, ducking and diving bullsh*tter. Jacuzzi he came out to give me a quotation to fix my jacuzzi/spa. he said it is the simplest of jobs and would be able to do the repairs. ±R8500-00 later he walked out and said that he could not get the pool repaired. Geyser Later I needed a geyser to be replaced and contacted him. Once again I fell for his smooth talk and promises Recommended a Duratherm Geyser which he said had a 10 year guarantee and it is the best way to go and his recommendation. He said that he did not like the quality of the Kwikhot geysers although they were cheaper. He fitted the new geyser (BTW he has ZERO cashflo so it is all upfront payments) The new geyser with a 10 year guarantee has popped / burst after three months. Durathjerm have come and inspected and said that the geyser was incorrectly installed and the pressure valve and piping was totally incorrect per their recommendations. Jaco, refuses to accept accountability or replace the geyser. So he has cost me so far. Jacuzzi R8,500-00 Then to fix his mess R23,875-00 Duratherm Geyser R10,450-00 Replacement geyser R7,800-00 So this smooth talker and total incompetent has cost me ±R50,000-00 for work that should have cost less than half of that. I would not recommend this unqualified incompetent to replace tap washers.
Purchased a Duratherm Geyser from Plumblink 3 months ago. The element has burnt out and the geyser has burst. Plumblink are not interested in replacing the geyser and Duratherm are not even contactable. In the meanti8me we are without hot water and everyone is either missing or not interested in assisting. You are dealing with Plumblink or Duratherm at your peril. Both are a disaster. STAY AWAY
SmartenergySA have done two installations for me on Solar for my two residences. Initially, it was all wine and roses. Immaculate installation and good service. Until my one system went in Cape Town faulty. After 8 weeks and now probably the third time they re-installed yesterday with Systase batteries. This morning the inverter kicks up faulty again. The problem is they do not seem to have the technical knowledge (and PR) to actually address the matter and resolve. it always MY FAULT. I get accused of fiddling with the system etc, etc. The Bluenova batteries packed up. (Which they replaced) I was told this is the first time they have experienced this with Bluenova. Yesterday their technician actually admitted that they have had several problem with Bluenova li-ion batteries. Another installer agrees that he has had several problems with Bluenova batteries. Yet John Chirwa says in 3000 installations they have never had a Bluenova failure. A professional business SmartenergySA has now blocked my number on their switchboard and cellphones. Go figure.
