Our fibre has not been working since 8 Aug 2025. Between my husband and I, we have logged the problem, sent emails and spent time on phone calls but no one has been able to sort it out (ticket ref. 425471). The last email from Cool Ideas on 12 Aug said they escalated the matter to the "Connect department". Who knows what this dept does but it's now 16 Aug and still sweet nothing from them aside from two emails with the standard cut 'n paste response. Also, their emails are written in the smallest font as if they intentionally don't want you to read it. They are quick to take money for the debit orders but slower than a snail to sort out problems, even to the point of ignoring your follow up emails. Phoning is futile because first line support just takes messages and tell you that they will forward it to some other dept to sort out. The worst service provider we have yet encountered and definitely won't be using them when we move to our new premises. Rather pay more and use a reputable and reliable ISP.
We specifically stopped here yesterday after hearing about it from friends. Walked in at 12h30, stood at the front door while waiters wafted past but not one greeted or showed us to a table. It's practically like self-service there - get own table and clear up mess from previous customers. Waited over 10 min before being asked if we've been helped to which I replied no and we were about to walk out.

Had a warm platter for two for a hundred bucks which was disappointing. They cut up the sausages so you can't tell how many there are, but it was probably two, along with three bread rolls plus two random slices of bread roll offcuts and some indistinguishable spreads in four tiny ramekins, plus two gherkins.
A pretentious place with staff huddled at the bar counter, ignoring customers, not to mention staff sitting on the outside staircase and smoking while wearing uniform looking totally unprofessional.

Avoid this place unless this is the type of service you enjoy spending money on.

Rather go to Black Horse Brewery if you're in Gauteng - a much, much better place. They actually run their place like a business and not a student hangout joint.
I am keen to join the Liberty \Own your life"rewards program and tried to find out what is the eligibility criteria as policy holders apparently need to pay a certain minimum amount on their policy in order to qualify for the Fitness benefit. It is such a top secret and no one can tell me what it is EXCEPT for my broker"
Ordered 2 small items from Yuppiechef who use Aramex as their couriers. Was supposed to be delivered in 2 days but took 4 days - and that's not counting the public holidays. Delivery guy comes to my work but goes to wrong building, gets shown the right building, but cannot even wait the 3 mins it takes me to walk to reception to sign for my parcel. I look around reception area for him, next thing the receptionist says there he is getting in his van and driving away! Told Yuppiechef to keep their goods and refund my money and will never ever buy anything from them.

I just got a call from Aramex now asking me what to do with the parcel that they still have in their possession. Told them to do whatever they want, throw it away, burn it, I don't care. Aramex had the cheek to tell me that their driver was here and couldn't deliver the parcel - what utter nonsense.

No matter how pretty or funky their products may be, Yuppiechef can keep their goods. Kalahari is, and will be, my online shopping site of choice. They deliver when they say they will, and sometimes even earlier than stated - and their drivers don't drive away with your parcel because he has better things to do.
