This company has no idea what's going on. It's been 3 weeks and one day since I had a car accident that totalled my car. I had to, and keep having to, call them to get any feedback. The majority of the emails I have received from them ask me to "Please be patient", with no feedback what so ever. The first time I called them after the accident I had to repeat the whole process of going through what happened just as I had on the scene of the accident - their paperwork was clearly not up to date or complete. I called them again a week later to find out what the status of my claim was, then they informed me that my car was totalled - this 5 days after the assessment on my car had been done. Called them again a week later to request an update, "no we can't reach the police to get the accident report"... So I borrowed my place of employment'car and I went to get it for them. I had to pay to get a copy of the report as they would not let me photograph it. This and a R100 later for parking at the police office, I scanned and mailed them the report. Yesterday I called again... Another week later. Asking for an update. The person on the phone asked me If I knew where my car was... You have my car?? What do you mean where is my car??? An hour after this call I got an email from King Price requesting that I send them the police report.. The one I had already sent the week prior. There is a massive admin problem here and not one person that knows what is going on. Overpromise, under deliver. Under the category "Our Values" on King Price's website the following is quoted: "... and go out of our way to make your experience with us as unforgettable as possible." It is unforgettable, alright.
The following has happened 3 times: * I order a package and pay R95 for next day delivery * I receive an SMS the next day saying that the package will be delivered between 08h00 and 17h00 (at my place of work) * 17h00 comes and goes and I receive a call from the driver, promising to deliver the package, "Can you please send me the new address" * I receive the package well into the night, around 22h00 from a driver who I'm pretty sure is very drunk. Besides this epic display of unprofessional behaviour and disregard for the client, the website says that a package I ordered last week (also next day delivery) Wednesday, was apparently delivered on Monday. I have not received the package, It is the next Wednesday and the package has somehow vanished off of the face of the earth. This package totalled R 583, and where there usually would say "signed by Piet Pompies" on the order history, it has just been left blank.
I received excellent service from Willem at King Price regarding my quote for car insurance. He was efficient, explained the details of the premium well, and helped me get the lowest premium with the most comprehensive cover.
This courier service is grossly incompetent and unprofessional. I sent a parcel that weighs exactly 1kg from Pretoria to Bloem and got a mail that I am being fined R100+ because my parcel "weighs 4kg". Upon contacting them they let me know that "The couriers charge the greater between the actual mass and the volumetric mass". This was not disclosed beforehand. I was not asked what the volumetric mass of the parcel is. I was not told that the greater of anything compared to anything would be used to charge me. This abysmal technicality is used to not only infuriate customers but charge them well over any logical fee. On the photo they sent me as "proof" that I should be fined, taken by the machine of my package crossing the conveyor belt, it is clear that the package weighed 1.25 kg. I paid for a 2kg courier bag. Charging me for a 4kg parcel and handing me a fine before I can use their service again is an unprofessional, money-grabbing far stretch.
