I've long been a fan of their wines & finally got to visit the farm a week ago. Service was excellent, atmosphere superb, artwork displays are beautiful & the wines excellent. Purchased R5k of wines at cellar door prices but wasn't given the 10% discount promised; I only realised later but not fussed about it. There is a general misconception that cellar door prices should be cheaper than retail - this used to be the case decades ago but people should be aware that the farmers sell in bulk to distributors who then on-sell to retail. It's really up to the retailer to control their discounts, don't blame the farm that's selling small orders at advertised prices and volume orders at negotiated prices. Market dynamics off the farm are beyond control of the wineries.
Greenfish is consistently the best fresh fish & seafood supplier in the Cape. Sustainable practices, community involvement, great supplier network, plus excellent service add up to a 5 star experience repeatedly over the last 3 years.
Excellent physical outlet at the V&A Waterfront & very good online store with fantastic range of Japanese knives & accessories for all budget ranges.
Not a retailer, a wholesale aggregator. Has a great inventory depth but little or possibly none of it on site, so the response time is slow and their courier is old school & don't liaise with sms/email notifications. Result is several failed attempts at delivery that in the end took 10 days to reach me.
Abysmal on every level. Zero customer care. Zero care. Will take your money & no responsibility. No accountability. Borderline scammers.
Having made 7 moves in the last 7 years I chose H&M for the first time in March 2021 to move my household contents from JHB to CPT. The JHB team was professional and courteous and I had no issues. On the CPT end they arrived 5 hours later than notified, offloaded in such a hurry I was unable to account for the 103 items, most of which were boxed. I did my own wrapping, packing and boxing. 2 days later I discovered 2 missing boxes, one of which contained contents to the value of R40,000. It is now June, and despite 6 or 7 emails and phone calls nobody has bothered to respond except for the first instance when someone enquired as to the contents and value of the missing items - which was supplied in detail. Since then, even following a threat of legal action, I have been met with stony silence. They also took off with all my blankets used to wrap the furniture items. I have no issue with the movers, but the management is appalling. I will not use them again under any circumstances.
