I have used Etoro for a while now, and not had a problem. I transferred some funds (as usual) from my South African Nebank account, this went through, I bought shares and then all of a sudden, a while after, I receive an email saying some of my funds that have been transferred to my Etoro account, are missing, and I need to deposit money right away. I, naturally, thought this was a scam... the money has left my bank account, surely this can be true. So I left it. I then receive an email saying my account will be closed as I don't have the funds. How was I able to buy shares if the money wasn't there? and then only 2/3 weeks later, get told i didn't in fact receive any money into my deposit account. This makes no sense! I had money, and I bought shares???? They were allocated! Etoro blamed Nedbank, Nedbank blamed Etoro... and here we sit. No one can help me. What I do know, is the money, once again, has left my bank account, it was in my eToro account, and then it wasnt??? No one can tell me where it went. Its difficult to chat to Etoro as they are an international company, but we have been emailing back and forth. Nedbank tells me everything is right on their side?? The problem here is not only is my money missing and NOBODY can help, I bought the shares at the price they were back then... when (if) this all gets solved, will I still get it at that price - or do I lose the money I would have gained by now? Can someone in Etoro please help me????
I have had a few problems with Nedbank when its come to transferring funds. Before the recent experience, I submitted notice for some funds to be transferred to one of my recipients (my ABSA credit card) from one of my Nedbank investments accounts. 1 month later, the funds were still not there. Nedbank told me to speak to ABSA, ABSA said speak to Nedbank, yet all this time, my investment money has lost that month's interest it would have received, and is still non-existent in both banks eyes. What I do know is, I don't have that money in either of my accounts. Eventually we requested the two banks speak to each other, and eventually Nedbank managed to allocate the funds. Now I have another problem, but on a bigger scale - some of my funds that have been transferred to my Etoro account, are missing. They were allocated, and then I was told I need to do deposit more funds as those transactions were not successful. Etoro blamed Nedbank, Nedbank blamed Etoro... and here we sit. No one can help me. What I do know, is the money, once again, has left my account, and no one can tell me where it went. Its difficult to chat to Etoro as they are an international company, but we have been emailing back and forth. And even though Nedbank is local, it is very difficult to get an answer or any kind of great help, even though we can communicate. Once again, the problem here is not only is my money missing and NOBODY can help, I bought the shares at the price they were back then... when (if) this all gets solved, will I still get it at that price - or do I lose the money I would have gained by now? Can someone in Nedbank please help me????
