On the 17th of June I had a connector plug fitted to my vehicle before traveling the same afternoon from JHB to CPT. At Beaufort Wes, due to a malfunction of the plug, I was forced to halt my journey and search for an auto electrician. The mal function visibly and clearly due to poor workmanship and incorrect installation. I brought the matter under the attention of the owner and management of Station Auto Sound (Ontdekkersweg). Agreement was reached in writing that I will continue to pay for the part but that will be refunded for the labor (R300). Despite numerous unanswered phone calls and emails the matter remains unresolved.
Upon arrival on Thursday night there were loadshedding. Obviously out of the control of such a well-known Hotel. Just to be informed the hotel's backup generator was faulty. With black tiles in the rooms in the bathrooms there is no visibility at all. No emergency lights in the passageways, or staircases were functioning. No form of lights, not even candles in the rooms. The cherry on top of the cake, and all, was the attitude of the staff who only pulled up their shoulders. Yet there was no end to the misery - Friday morning load shedding again. Again, complete darkness. not even a candle. The attitude of the staff a disgrace.
An Uber pass was debited against my account without my consent, authorization or approval at a R100 per month and now Uber simply refuses to refund me.
