I purchased a Shesh 600 home internet from MTN. Advertised everywhere as 300gig at superfast 5g, then 300gig throttled to 4g for the next 300gig. This is just a plain lie, first the best speed I ever got is 30mbps, not exactly superfast 5g as promised, this I can live with, but was not what was promised, when this was used, I was throttled, as promised, to 0.1mbps. Half a percent of what was promised ????? I was then offered a Speed up your remaining 300g for R149 for 7 days. to Upgrade to what I had already bought. Of course I called, went into the store, called, called a different place, and another, and again, and the shop. Yes sir, there is a fair usage policy in place, What does that even mean. I didn't buy uncapped, I bought a fixed amount at a fixed speed.
I spoke to someone who knew what was going on at all times. He gave feedback that was accurate and was lived by. In addition to this there was some free hardware thrown in due to a miscommunication. This was definitely welcome and surprising

Do Not use RAIN 5g internet. It is absolutely impossible to get any help after purchase. If your question is not on the website, there is no way to escalate, no phone number, no mail, no chat. We have a 5G modem, and can not even use zoom on the platform, but there is no one to speak to to even notify that there is a problem.
