I went to the mall on Thursday after fetching my kids from school to get a few things and run a few errands. On our way out my younger son needed to go to the toilet , he told us and left the Woolworths bag he was carrying on the floor while we were at the station. After the whole issue with the card not reading as always at Pavillion my parking ticket is ALWAYS not readable.this time there was atleast an attendant at the machine to help. After that drama with the ticket we hurried out leaving the Woolworths bag on the floor as none of us noticed it. We hurried home as I was in pain from all the walking and needed my pills and to rest, got home and did that while my husband unpacked, they asked about the Woolworths packets but it was too late by this time. Friday while waiting for my kids to come out from school ,I called the control to ask about my Woolworths bag,if anyone had dropped it off, which they advised me it was left at entrance 9. I rushed back with my kids after school drove around in circles looking for entrance 9 . Eventually found it walked to the security office and was met with a gentleman that says he was the manager, he walks me towards the toilets to tell me that he had thrown the food away because the protocol is not to keep food for long because they have no fridge. Why walk me away from your office and towards the toilet,he said the control room was there incase I wanted more information and for privacy but we never got to this control room. I was mad, you made me drive all this way to tell me this could they not have called me, he said the control didn’t know , but they knew my bag was left there how do they not know protocols and how long consumables are kept before being discarded. I told him to take me to the bins as I will take the food it’s in a Woolworths bag and give it away, how do you throw away 3 fresh chickens,2 Pattie’s and 1 dozen rolls with the Woolworths bag? We walked to the bins and he lifted a packet saying it’s not here ,when he threw it away there wasn’t anything in the bin, so that means it’s at the bottom,he said no it won’t be there . He apologised but kept repeating everything I was saying. Well spoken and neatly dressed that much I’ll give him.could control room not call me back after informing him I was on my way and him telling them he discarded my things, he said when he asked they said I was already on my way, how do you know on my way from where and my means of travel could of been a uber or a taxi, make me come all the way for nothing. I battled to get around with my existing ailment ,to be walked around in vain to the bins and toilet only to be told of protocol. My till slip was in the bag could they not have gotten my details from the store and contacted to inform me of my bag being found? Why doesn’t the control room know of the protocols regarding consumables, they knew my parcel was found though? Why wasn’t I called back by control room and told it was discarded as protocol with food stuff?why was I walked to the toilet for privacy and told I was being taken to the control room for privacy and incase I wanted to ask more questions why wasn’t I taken there then? Pavillion you could of done so much better instead of your manager offering to buy me another Woolworths bag , and its contents?
I would like to lodge a compliment for an exceptional dispensary pharmacist/ agent. Michelle from Bluff Dischem branch as been nothing short of amazing and helpful. Michelle checks up on my chronic meds timeously and insures I never run out. Michelle makes sure she checks up on any side effects to medication and on my holistic well being. She has the best customer service and is very helpful and friendly. Michelle makes Dischem customers feel safe and free to speak without judgement and suggests the best medication advice possible. No matter how busy the store is her body language never shows fatigue or irritability, she has a standard service for all customers which I have seen while standing in the queue waiting to be served. Because of Michelle I never went to any other pharmacy or self care franchise or store, I’d rather wait to go to bluff Dischem than the convenience of being closer to another store, I’d also rather wait in line than choosing a less busier store. Michelle from Dischem Bluff, I really would love to give you the biggest heartfelt thank you for your exceptional service.
It has been the worst experience with total sports west street Durban. I had bought a shoe for my son on the bluff for school which didn’t fit,I had to leave for Johannesburg and left the receipt with my mother to change the shoe. Bluff didn’t have the size and was eager to help in every way possible ,they had located a shoe in west street total sports and just required the receipt. When my mother got to total sport she was given attitude by the cashier Thabisile, who told her she needs the card holder with the card present in order to do an exchange for a bigger size of the exact same shoe for the exact same price. My mother tried explaining that I’m not in Durban and asked to see the manager, the manager instructed the rude cashier to exchange the shoe for a gift card then redo the whole process of paying for the shoe again. I’ve never heard of this,so if a gift is bought the person who buys the gift needs to be present to exchange it for a bigger size or another item for example an unwanted gift! The cashier then reversed the purchase into my account, during this time her and her colleagues talking Zulu and laughing infront of my mother…what ever happened to customer service and ethics? After 45 min of trying to get this issue resolved as my son needed the shoe for school the next day. I called the store and they were unable to help, the manager said he would speak to his senior and get back to me,which he did. The senior person got back to me and told me to go online and do a gift card and send voucher pin to my mother which I was unable to do as I was at work dealing with high care patients already being distracted by these calls. Then they want to call it a innocent mistake yet while an irate customer stands infront of a customer service providers they laugh and joke and talk a different language in the presence of the customer who doesn’t understand! I had sent my card details and ID number to my mother for them to help her in store since I was busy at work only for her to leave an hour later without the shoes as they couldn’t help her saying my card doesn’t allow this! On my mothers way out the cashier runs behind her telling security to stop her as if she was stealing the shoes, just for a copy of the receipt again leaving my mother standing waiting for them to finish make a copy. Bare in mind this is at the end of a busy day at work for my mother having to go through all of this only to get home stressed ,frustrated and a high blood pressure. Do staff not go for training on customer service and dealing with customers? Disgusting customer service Very disappointed new TGF customer
