What a disappointing lunch visit at McPherson's yesterday! We were a group of about 16 people celebrating a Birthday. Firstly, our food arrived in drips and drabs. Yes, a large table BUT then management should plan ahead and provide 2 or 3 waitrons for us. The food was ice cold (not one thing on my plate was warm). Disappointed is a HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT!!!<br> My husband and I have threatened before, to move our banking accounts and home loan account to another Bank but not yet done so. After my latest experience with Standard Bank this morning I am even more convinced now!!!!<br> I went to Canal Walk Standard Bank (inconvenient!!) to collect a moneygram which was sent to me last week. NOTE: I phoned the bank this morning (held on for over 10min before speaking to a human) to make sure what I need to take with me to collect the moneygram - they tell me all I need is my I.D. and MoneyGram Ref No. as I am an account holder with standard bank BUT that I can only go to a branch with Forex (inconvenient!!). At the bank I am told I also need the sender's address (WHY didn't they tell me this when I phoned to confirm!!??).<br> THEN the Forex consultant tells me there's still a problem - I haven't FICA'd when in fact (as you will pick up on my profile) I FICA'd at N1City (spent 48minutes their about a month ago). Clearly CRYSTAL (at N1 City) is incompetent! I cannot get the moneygram money because my account is not FICA'd. NOT MY PROBLEM! SICK & TIRED of Standard Bank!!! FNB - here we come!!!<br>
