When you no longer work for the Motor industry or withdraw from the fund they expect you to come to their office in JHB when you live 500kms away or else they will not accept the paperwork on email or with a courier how do they expect someone to travel that far when we live in a time where we have technology. Feels like they are want to run away from paying people out their own money.
Hollard insurance has definitely got to be one of the worst insurance companies out there. My vehicle was hit in the right front side at the end of April 2021 and it took them a month to approve my claim with no explanations for the delay. The vehicle was towed to Durban central panelbeaters as it was not driveable.The Vehicle was assesored by Hollard and then repaired by DCP. When going to pick up the vehicle on three occasions it was not complete to my standard. Last week friday I was going to take delivery of the vehicle only to find that all the engine mounts were broken off due to the impact and the wheel bearing had collapsed. According to the assessor of Hollard they do not cover mechanical damage due to accidents but will only cover body work this is totally rediculous and unsafe they expect a person to receive a vehicle that is unsafe and puts one life in danger. It is truly sad how Hollard as an insurance company does not value the safety of people.It been four months months and I do still not have a vehicle.
My vehicle was Towed in to the panel beater at the beginning of May 2021 it is now the middle of August 2021 My service advisor is Michelle. My Mitsubishi Pajero came in after it was involved in a right from accident. I explained to them the details of the vehicle and what had to be done. The wrong parts were ordered four times for starters with myself being consulted after explaining to them and providing contact details as to where they could scourse parts. I was not keeped updated at all. So last week friday the 06 August 2021 i was told that the Pajero was ready only to find the following 1- Both the front wheel bearings needs to be opened up and inspected. (This had now been dome today and as suspected needs to be changed and who knows how long this will now take.) 2- Wheel alignment not done (how could this not be done after an accident of a serious nature) 3- Fender liner was cut too short and does not reach down to the bumper. 4- Bumper spot lights – incorrect spot lights fitted again, the old bumper spot lights to be used is what i told them to save time as they don't seem to be able to do simple tasks. 5- Water bottle for washing the front wondows– not fitted at all (responsible oh sorry i guess we will have to now fit it.) 6- Shock to be double checked for no leaks after the impact. 7- The ABS light is on and the fault needs to be checked as to why the warning light is on. The vehicle started leaking hydraulic fluid once it was hit at the accident scene and that’s why it was towed so somewhere something was not repaired correctly. 8- Bumper fitted incorrectly (not fitted straight and at an angle). This panel beater works unsafe they have no quality control system at all. They were prepared to release a vehicle that is still unsafe and unroadworthy after apparently being finished with a repair. They have also refused to give me a courtesy car after all this delays is caused by their poor workmanship and lack of communication skills In conclusion i wish anyone luck who takes their car here to be repaired.
