I email my verified documents 2 weeks ago and was told they can't authentic me, I should take my FICA documents to a branch. I did so on 08.12.2025 and was told all will be sorted in 2 days, today is the 13.12.2025 and still my documents has not been authenticed. It's very bad for a big company like old mutual, how do we tell people to move to them if they are so slow.
I won't recommend it to anyone. It is very bad and poor amd don't cover anything. I pay 2550 monthly never use this medical aid, don't qualify for over the counter. I got sick went to casualty, know they not paying doctors or blood test, im sitting with bills to pay, as where I pay them monthly. If i had a choice to cancel i would have canceled it yesterday already.
I recently purchased a electric shaver at dis chem, last year march, i no longer have the POP as I am busy moving. The foil infront of the shaver keeps breaking and needs to be replaced. Disc chem don't sell this separately so one needs to buy a entire new shaver. I can't purchase another shave as the machine is right, but only the foil infront that needs to be replaced. Dis chem don't make or sell this foil separately. I will rather check online for another shave or at clicks where they have extra foil. On my last purchased I suggested to them via email to sell the front part separately, because now a person has machine but all needs foil.
I took out a sim data only deal of R199, and shocking to see my bill runs to R320.76. Called cancelation department and I was told that I need to pay R199 cancelation and 1 month subscription? Why should I pay all of this if i signed up for a R199 contract?
I have submitted a funeral cover claim for my father on monday, at the brach in King Williams Town, i was told payout is within 48 hours, i called this morning to find out how far is the process and then to find out according to the lady who helped me from ABSA there is no claim. How is this possible if i have all supported documents? How should i pay for the funeral without the policy paying out?
