I am surprized with the positive reviews on this platform. The experience with Smart Energy SA was riddled with missed appointments, rotation of excuses for missed deadlines which bordered on the bizarre at times. After countless delays the solar system was installed. That was not where the poor service ended, my roof is leaking as a result of incorrect installation protocols and am I now battling to get Smart Energy SA back to prevent further water damage. The workmanship warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. Using this Solar Company is nothing but a gamble. They most likely do not have Contractors All Risk Insurance since this information has not been provided despite my requests to all including the Technical Director to provide the same. They are simply not responding and information are not forthcoming. The culture among all representatives from this Company including Management is some of the poorest service I have ever experienced.
I am surprised with the positive reviews received by Smart Energy SA. I share the sentiment of the negative reviews on the platform. I have not often experienced such unprofessional service. They are totally unable to meet appointments with the same excuses, caught up at another client, forgot, etc, etc. They completely disrespect the Client's time. Once they face loosing the business, they over promised and then offered me the same excuse of a ******* in Gauteng on the morning of the installation while all components should have been at my property in Cape Town already (they lie to Customers as a standard protocol, and does not think about the silly excuses they rotate while stringing you along). They simply lie, deceive string you along as far as possible. The installation was eventually done, and is working well..... but then my roof started leaking as a result of improper installation protocols. I now sit with a leaking roof and water damage as a result. The warranty they offer on workmanship is not worth the paper it is written on (I assume the same will apply to the equipment warranty). They, true to form promised to meet on site and then simply does not show, stringing you along and not responding to correspondence. I assume they do not have Contractors All Risk Insurance and is therefor ignoring my requests. You will also not be able to escalate to a more snr person since the culture in the Company and treatment of Customers is cultivated from management ie John Chirwa Director / Owner and office Management Gail. If you use Smart Energy SA, you will only have yourself to blame.
Serenity Pools are truly a professional swimming pool contractor still valuing quality and attention to detail. In an industry with such a poor reputation, Serenity Pools has proven that there are still honest, no-nonsense - just good service Contractors so rare to find these days. I had my pool installed by Herman van Schalkwyk and can recommend Serenity Pools to any prospective Clients.
I have been a loyal subscriber for 10 years+. Renewing my subscription 4 months ago indicate clear signs of a Business with a total and blatant disregard for complying with the basic principal of rendering the service you have been paid for. After not receiving 2 of the 4 editions (to date), numerous phone calls, e-mails and posts on their website, I can now confidently state that CAR Magazine has no interest in in their subscribers other than accepting your payment. Once your money is in their account, they will NOT send your magazines, they will not answer their phone calls (other than the receptionist), they will not return calls for messages left, they will ignore your e-mails and website communication. Herein lies the challenge, you are not able to cancel your subscription - brilliant tactic - if they ignore you, they can keep your money for free. Thinking about it, it is actually a brilliant business model, they should just change their adverti*****ts from "subscribe to 12 issues" to "donate to CAR fund". Perfect pyramid scheme. DO NOT FALL FOR THE GLOSSY PAGES OF CAR MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS. Fortunately they will cause their own demise, this guy (and others in the same boat) will only be caught once. Try selling your Mag when you have no Clients left, then phone me...... and leave a message!
