From a good friendly efficient optician to one that is now totally useless. I had my eye tests done and a few days later i went and ordered and paid for my glasses in full. Two weeks later when I went to check on the progress of my glasses, it appeared that there was some issue about my glasses and that they had been sent to another lab for testing. When I asked what issue they could not tell me. I then asked for a delivery date and once again they could not tell me. I then asked for a refund as this was just not happening as it should. A week has gone by, and I am told that the head office can't give me a date when the refund will happen. My Whatsapp messages are being ignored and not answered. I have now contacted the head office in Cape Town of Urban Optiks who tell me that the Scottburgh branch is separate and any refunds will be paid out directly by the owners. I then contacted the owner who says these things take time but could not tell me when it will happen. How do they work or have they just decided that they will not refund me? When I ordered my glasses there was no discussion about when payment wiould be made, it was done there and then and in CASH I might add. They must think they can get away with treating their clients in this manner and we will just accept it. They need to remember that there is a Spec Savers in the same complex and I will have problems using their services again.
This must be the biggest rip off bank under the sun. Firstly they do not tell you when taking out a loan or credit card that they have fixed interest rates. Secondly, they do not reduce the interest owed if you pay in advance. Thirdly if you miss a payment they add additional interest to your account. Fourthly you do not get a settlement amount so do not encourage you to pay up earlier. This is totally in contrast to everything I have ever been taught or know about banking principles. As soon as my loans are paid up I WILL BE CLOSING MY ACCOUNTS AND WILL NO LONGER ADVISE PEOPLE TO USE THIS BANK. In fact, I will do the opposite and advise people to use the better and well-known banks. TOTAL RIP OFF ARTISTS
Extremely bad customer service. You have to fight to get your money back. Never had such a bad experience as I am having with this pathetic company. After lodging a complaint on 7 June 2020 I am still awaiting my refund. I have complied with every single thing that they have asked me to do and now I am told that I must wait up to another 30 days for a refund. I think not
