SARS is always taking your money and always telling you you’re doing something wrong. Quick to give you penalties when you make a mistake but customer service is the reason you ended up making a mistake. When they need to pay you money they also always find a way not to. Honestly such a disgusting company who misuses tax payers.
Thieves, no other way to put it lol SARS went from owing me money, but instead of paying it, they made it impossible for me to get the funds. When I decided I’m not going to bother anymore and they can keep it, it went from them owing me money, to me somehow having to pay them now. Thanks for taking my bonus plus extra :/
Went for an emergency surgery in February to get my appendix removed. This is on Discovery’s PMB List, code 9F, Appendicitis, Appendectomy. Even though this is the emergency surgery that I received, Discovery advised that I do not qualify for the PMB fund but to date I have not received an explanation as to why I do not qualify. All they have done is make me cry lol and tell me that I need to pay the hospital bill myself. Great jobs guys lol
I was admitted to hospital in January as an emergency. The hospital checked me in and I made it very clear if I am not covered they should not touch me at all. I was then cleared and received surgery two days later. After my stay I received a bill and I was advised that I need to pay R18 000 out if my own pocket. I questioned this as I went to the hospital I was told to go to and I even made the hospital confirm that I am covered. In response to my email questioning the R18 000, Discovery sent me an email stating I do now owe anything and the shortfall will be written off. One month later I get contacted by a lawyer stating I need to pay the R18 000. After going back and forth with discovery - one of their agents (Leigh) being rude, simply ignoring my questions and then ending the chat on me - I was then advised I actually do need to pay the R18 000. I think it is absolutely unacceptable that Discovery now wants to tell me the R18 000 is my responsibility when I was previously advised by them it is not. They want to play it down as a misunderstanding. Stating they meant the hospital and not the doctor but I very clearly referred to the exact amount they wanted me to pay. If my company didn’t force us to be with Discovery I definitely wouldn’t make use of them. You pay them thousands every month on time but when they need to pay your bills they have an excuse for everything. If I saved all the money I sent them over the past 7 years I would have been able to pay my bills in full and still have money left over. This has been an utterly disappointing experience.
ONE MONTH after buying a car from them for R165K, I need to replace the entire engine of the car, ONE MONTH later. The car is dead, can’t start and they have been the worst company in every sense. Poor communication, lies, empty promises and cheap workmanship. I bought a car from WBT Auto last month and got the car on 11 September 2021. The very next day I started noticing issues and within 5 days I returned the car to them to have the issues fixed. There were a number of issues, car was leaking, heating system does not work, wrong parts in the car, warning lights going off, body work done on the car that was not disclosed and SO MUCH MORE. I had to send the car back twice (they basically had the car for two weeks respectively) and every time the car came back still with all the problems. They take the car to a dealership that’s not RMI approved (after the owner Tatum told me herself that their workshop is RMI approved) and the quality of the work was atrocious. For example, the battery in the car was the wrong battery and faulty, they replaced that battery with an even OLDER battery and again, the wrong battery for the car. Eventually had it replaced myself for R3200 and when they took the “new battery” out that WBT Auto put in, it literally broke. That’s how old it was. After seeing the horrible quality of work they do and after sending the car back twice just to get a car back that is still leaking and making funny noises, I gave up on having them fix anything. They tell you their mechanic checked the car and it’s fine yet I physically send them proof of the car leaking etc. Also, while they had the car to “fix it”, I saw the owner of WBT Auto driving the car close to where they live, on a Saturday with passengers. Lekker taking the car for a joyride. When I called Tatum (owner and wife of the person who drove the car) she first just hung up on me and then on text made up some excuse as to why he’s driving the car. On the 18th of this month, while driving I got another warning light on the car saying I need to start the car manually and the car literally just switched off while I was driving. I was in the middle of nowhere and had to have the car towed which cost another R4000. I’ve already spent thousands on the car so you can imagine my disbelief when the garage came back to me and told me it will cost R260 000 to fix the car. So yes, if you are interested in buying a car for R165 000, spend thousands on it within less than a month and then another R260 000 to fix it, go ahead and buy from them. This past month since buying the car from them has been absolute hell. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.
