I am writing this review with extreme disappointment and frustration after the appalling service I received from Renault Fourways. On 04/11/2025, I took my vehicle in for a routine annual service. I specifically advised the service advisor that they should only perform the service and check the error message showing on the dashboard nothing more. The car was running perfectly fine prior to this visit; there were no leaks, no smoke, no engine issues, and it only required a simple oil change and normal service. I received a call from the service advisor, Nthabeleng, informing me that the service had been completed and that the error message would be explained upon collection. On 05/11/2025, I collected my vehicle, paid a significant amount of money for the service, and drove to work and back, only to arrive home to an absolute disaster. The car suddenly started spewing thick white smoke from the exhaust, accompanied by a strong, unpleasant smell. When I opened the bonnet, I could hear a hissing sound near the coolant tank, and to my shock, there was no coolant left in the tank at all. This issue never existed before the service, the coolant housing had been replaced by another Renault branch only two years ago and had been in perfect condition. When I called the branch, Nthabeleng informed me that only the service was performed, and offered no real assistance or accountability. Her attitude was unhelpful, dismissive, and frankly unprofessional. My car, which was in flawless condition before entering their workshop, is now at serious risk of engine damage or a complete write-off. To make matters worse, my vehicle was not cleaned as promised, and I discovered that my cologne was ****** from inside the car on the day of the service. I have video and photographic evidence documenting everything that transpired after collecting my car from the dealership. This entire experience has been nothing short of disgusting. Renault Fourways has completely shattered my trust in the Renault brand. I am left with a damaged vehicle, missing personal belongings, and zero accountability from the dealership. I strongly urge anyone considering taking their car to Renault Fourways to think twice. The lack of care, professionalism, and integrity I experienced is beyond unacceptable. I am now forced to take an uber to work as I cannot drive the vehicle in this condition. Renault South Africa, please investigate this matter urgently customers should not have to endure this kind of treatment from an official dealership.
Amazing experience with AfricaStay! They helped me every step of the way. I am a very difficult person and always have a lot of questions and they handled every single one with speed and ease. Created amazing memories and had a wonderful time in Zanzibar! Thank you.
I took delivery of a Renault Kadjar on the 21th of December 2022 from Webuycars the Dome. When I went to test drive the vehicle the first sales person Donnigan attempted to start the car but the battery was dead. I thought nothing of it as I have been a sales person in the motor industry before and I’ve had that issue before as occasionally it’s just maybe the car had been standing for a while so it was dead. However something in my mind told me to monitor it and look at the car again later on. Lo and behold I returned 2 days later after it had been driven prior by me and the sales person but yet the battery was flat again. I told the sales person (Donnigan) that I think the battery needs to be changed and he said he would ask the workshop to check the battery which he never did of course. Moving forward I was otherwise happy with the car there was a brake system fault which Donnigan informed me that his senior was trying to get the dealer to sort that out in the workshop as the Dekra report showed no issues with the vehicle at all apart from minor scratches on the bumper. It was a category A car. I had to continue to go in there using my petrol and my time as no one would update me at all on what is happening with the vehicle. I signed the OTP and was now waiting to be told I can come take delivery of the car. I was still concerned about this battery but now Donnigan had gone off the radar doesn’t say one word to me and now I’m left with his senior Lebo. I had no issue with that as Donnigan didn’t help me much anyway so I thought I could rely on Lebo to help me better. I did however feel weird being tossed around like a tennis ball but so it is. I told Lebo about the battery issue where he then told me he would get it tested by the workshop yet again nothing was done, he then told it has been sitting for a while I should drive it after taking delivery and it will come right. I knew this was not the case as the milage tells me it had been driven enough during the time of getting it prepared so why did the battery not charge correctly? The car needed a service which I have no evidence of the service being done which I paid for. I have now had the car for 1 week I have been asking this dealership including the manager Dawie to assist me and tell me what I should do about this and I hear absolutely nothing from them at all. No response to messages when I go in there I stand around for 30+ minutes waiting only to be told they will sort this out by 9am the next morning but nothing happens. I’m literally just being *****ed around. I finally got 1 responses from Lebo today (28 Dec 22) telling me that they at Webuycars sell cars as is and you buy the car as is and that is that. (Not exact words but summed up) I knew that sort of but not in relation to the car battery. Why could they not tell me that from the beginning before I took delivery I would have asked if I could add a new battery to the service as part of my instalments? But no word spoken from anyone but rather “I revert back to you shortly”. These people just take customers money and be done with the client once out the door. This is just Total disregard for client satisfaction. Their customer service is absolutely DISGUSTING. DO NOT buy from Webuycars the Dome. Such a small issue with an aged battery that can be fixed in minutes must take 1 week? At my expense when this is totally a dealership issue. Disgusting. I was told by someone at Webuycars that they aiming to be the number one and only one Dealership in South Africa. Yea with service like this that is NEVER going to happen.
Went into the dealership dealt with Ryan went to test drive a BMW 320i he took me on a test drive with the car thought things would go well. Lies upon lies began to arise about the vehicle I’ve been in the motor trade myself so you can’t bull**** a bull****ter. They did an evaluation on my trade in apparently I was going to get a response but Ryan tells me that his manager is delaying him and that he kept asking for the trade in value but his manager would take his own time. Eventually he never got back to me at all. I feel as though I was pre-judged. Funny thing is this coming Monday morning I will be picking up my new car from another Dealership which helped me every step of the way and were excellent and fast. Took them 3days to get everything sorted for me.
