I bought two tickets for me and my friend for Modelane long table JHB for the 27 September 2025, they cancelled the event due to issues and subsequently promised to fully refund me. My refund was supposed to come not later than the 29th of November 2025 but it hasn’t and they’re not saying anything. They have a bad reputation and I regret ever trusting them. I need my refund in full, please help me out.
Before you insure your assets and car with Absa Idirect, you must think about it. A validator//claims consultant by the name of Mr Byron Hoffeldt(coloured) who works for Absa confidently told me that I should be glad that his claim is being handled by him not some white people he works with because white people always find a reason to reject claims from black people and black people also find ways to reject claims from white people. This is concerning and totally wrong in all spheres of life. How can Absa allow this circus to happen? That time we as the clients use our hard earned money to pay. He actually said a lot to me that was very concerning regarding Absa. I am advising everyone. He even told me he rejected a claim from a guy who had just bought an RS3 with his pension money because he was speeding and that is not part of the exclusions. I made Absa aware but I guess they’re protecting their employee since they haven’t provided me with anything regarding what Mr Byron Hoffeldt had said.
I’m still stunned and shocked by what a claims consultant/loss adjuster(which I won’t mention his name for now) revealed to me about claims. I lodged a complaint C-20160189 and Absa promised to get back to me in 2 days and it’s been over 7 days now. I need feedback

I received the most terrible service ever from Renew-it, however, Mary Jane is very sweet and helpful but my car was terribly fixed. 2020 November I was involved in a car accident and my Insurer chose Renew-it, there was no communication at all, I was the one who was constantly calling them, until my car was fixed. I was happy with my car being fixed, but as time went by, I realised that the the paint was dull and rough, not shiny and it’s natural cookout, I went back and they agreed that the polishing and glazing was done wrong and I should come back, when I went back, they still did a terrible job because there was a dry running paint, there were paint spatters. I’m really angry and frustrated. I wonder where do they get those guy who paint.
It was the most easy and smooth claim ever, everything was fast and efficient. I would give it 10/10. people must use it.
