My experience with Santam was great hustle free one phone call to claim they call me everyday to give me an update on my claim , they send me emails to confirm that they did call. A confirmation that my claim was approved was sent within 3 days Thank you Santam
Am currently a Santam policy member I insured my car with them . My policy was due for reviewal next year . I received the email with the new rate I was not happy with the new price I called them Zolani Xanise assisted me my premium was reduced to an affordable rate and am happy.
We bought a second hand Polo 1.0 Comfort Line DSG the vehicle was brought to me on the 02/04/2022 upon arrival the car was dirty inside and out , the smelling inside was terrible as if the driver was smoking inside the car. It has visible dents and scratches the portion where the spare wheel stays was damaged, it had no service book no spare key. I asked about the spare key they said they forgot it at the office they will courier it to me by Monday 04/04/2022 and the car tracking devise will be arranged to be installed on the same day , nothing happened. I phoned the dealer an the bank to complain and tell them am not happy . They said they are willing to fix the "'minor problem''. But they don't have a spare key the previous owner said he lost it . I asked if it will be possible for them to get another one for me or change the ignition .They told me all second hand car doesn't come with spare keys that they did not mention on the contract. They said no they cant do that it will cost them a lot of money. The sales man Tukelo Maduna keep on insisting that I keep the car , drive it for six months and trade it in there is no need to be so dramatic about minor dents and scratched. He did a huge favor for us and gave us the best offer that no one could've given us because we were referred there by his sister now we wanna return the car for minor things , we putting his job at risk. He said we will be blacklisted .We were really lost and couldn't understand his statements at all . We made a follow up again with to see if they have arranged anything for us since we are unhappy unfortunately there was nothing , he started being rude we wanted to speak to his manager he did not give us a straight answer instead he said it the anyone from the garage contact us we must tell them we are from Opongola that is part of KZN of which we are from Mpumalanga (Kriel) . We asked why he said that is what he said to his boss , he said he will deliver the car himself he needed some rest and sent someone instead. As we were busy following up on the matter he started being rude whenever we ask about the vehicle. With all the stories coming up and the car tracker that is not arriving the the spare key that wont be replaced I felt its unsafe for me to keep it not knowing where the spare key is .It was a risk I was not willing to take we drove the car back to them for those minor repair on the 06/04/2022. On the 29/04/2022 they drove the car again back to me ,some dent and scratches were not fixed I asked how they said they can not be repaired as minor as they are . The sales man showed us that both keys are in good working condition they can start the car. They said I can drive out with them since they got lost a bit when coming in , I went back to the house when I come back they were no where to be found since I was busy I carried on with what I was doing and later that afternoon I took the car for a test drive unfortunately I didn't drive even drive that far the car stopped . I switched it on it could not start the dashboard was orange all kind of warning lights. I called the sales man he said I should open the gear cover and try to move the gear manually it didn't help , he then said I cancelled my insurance there is nothing more he can assist me with I called Richard Mokoena the manager he didn't help. I kept trying Tukelo he said I must just get someone to tow the car back home and I must make a plan take it to the nearest VW dealer the car is still under warrantee at my cost. I logged a complain with Motor Industry Ombusman and asked for a way forward in regards to this matter while waiting for their 10 day turn around . They said its either the car goes for repair , or we go choose another vehicle or we get reimbursed. I spoke to MFC they said they will only cancel their debt order when they receive a cancellation from the dealer . On the 03/05/2022 I received an email from Rory Plitt managing direct ''This car we repaired everything that was requested. Our concern is our drivers reported to us after driving this car with no issues to Kriel which is a long drive from our offices its not close at all. However when arriving at the customer our drivers reported to us he had a friend who wanted to test the car and attempted to start the car in drive. Our drivers showed them both how to start the car but the lack of knowledge in operating a motor vehicle was prevelant. We of the opinion that during the course of the day driving around the customer and his friend have damaged obviously something on the vehicle. The vehicle does have a six month warentee and should be taken to a RMI approved workshop for assessment we can advise tomorrow a good option. A concern we have too is after the customer got stuck late afternoon we suggested we contact his insurance for tow assist but it seems as if he has already cancelled his insurance. I feel MFC should address the client on this matter. How can you tow an automatic car ? Does an auto start when the gear lever is on drive ? I was stressed ,frustrated and depressed . When my wife and my sister started to intervene seeing that am depressed the level of disrespect they got from Richard and Tukelo was unbearable they called me a small boy then phoned me to say my family need to stay out of this matter my wife must not call them anymore their not her friends. I had to take some days off from work just to clear my mind . These are some of the notices I managed to remember : Manoeuvre braking currently unavailable Error parkpilot Stabilisation control Move selector level to position P/N. They called I told them I want nothing to do with them any more they've shown me that they are not honest they can not be trusted I wan to cancel my deal with them . They said they will charge me for the cost they've . The breakdown on the cancellation is as follow We went 2 times with two cars and two drivers for delivery to kriel ( fuel R 6000) We STILL NEED TO COLLECT AGAIN AT YOUR PLACE Wages for drivers( R 2000) Cancellation fee( R 2600) f&I fee (R 2000) Hope all above is in order Kind regards, Richard Mokoena Sales Manager Tel no. 016 421 1122 Cell no. 083 711 1333 18 Grey Avenue, Vereeniging, 1939. I queried the pertol cost as I felt its too much for 198km distance even thou hey came with two cars , my expectation was to be charged whatever kilometers we used on the vehicle. We tried calling Ombusman they were surprised to see petrol cost drivers wage. But because our case hasn't reached a case manager we had to wait . Due to the fact that no one was willing to help regard this query we drove to the dealer to get this over and done with it was exhausting and becoming a problem to my health. Unfortunately Rory was nowhere to be found Richard was nowhere to be found no one at the dealer cared to attend to us not even the sales man, he was busy with other staff did not even care they did not even pretend that they can offer assistant. We w re there to decorate their offices. We demanded that the sales man call Richard while we standing here next to his as he said he is coming the next thing he is not picking up his calls he will never come and see us hell knows why . We did not know what to believe any more he raised voice at us we we retaliated then all staff members gather together and said Richard was standing at the door when we came in how come we did not see him his gone now and not coming back for us. How do you tell if they don't even have name tags none of the staff member has a name tag. Just after leaving the dealership where no one was available at the office or even on the phone . A phone call from Rory comes with all kind of accusation made under my name I was driving home already late for work. I made the payment 13/05/2022 when I get to work , the following morning when I was about to send the proof of payment I got an email from Rory that I assaulted and damaged property they will open a case for assault and intimidation asap hopefully they will issue a document and initiate any arrest. This was sent to MFC as well. Never mind that deformation of character. I requested him to go thru the CCTV footage so that he can get his story right .The arrangement was that the car will be picked up on Monday 16/05/2022 it hasn't been collected to date. They phoned me and said they will offer R800 I need to arrange someone to collect it here and deliver it to them as they feel threatened to come and collect it . The collection cost was already included on their cancellation fee this guys cannot be trusted I need them to collect the car and cancel the deal as they acknowledged that they did receive the money , hey can bring the whole SA army if they want to, their plan of giving me a defected car was to reap me off , I don't trust them anymore if I make means that the car gets to them the next thing the say the car got the with dent scratch . They can find anyone whom will collect the car I don't want it anymore. I am sitting with a defected car worth R430000 + I hope this gets to people whom will offer assistance ,VW South Africa, Nedbank and many more . I thank you
Got financed by Nedbank on one of the small garages Vereeniging Motos ,upon delivery the car was dirty full of dent ,scratches and damaged boot inside where the spare wheel is stalked and there was no spare key. I returned the call and called Nedbank to inform them about the matter they said I should send an email. The sales man Tukelo Maduna who sold me the car never mentioned any about this damages I returned the car to them Richard Mokoena sales manager they said they will get it fixed it minor things I cant cancel my contract with them I must take the car and trade it in after 6 months. I left the car and informed the bank that I dont want it any more because there were lot of stories then Nedbank failed to help me taking the dealer story that its minor thing I must wait for the dealer to get back to me. Yesterday the car was returned with some dents fixed some not . My question was if its a minor thing how come they didnt fix it. I took a drive with the car , the car engine stoped running in the middle of the road the desh bord showed a lot or error messages that I did not understand I called Richard he said hes sick and wont be able to assist I called Tukelo he was very rude even hanging up on me while talking . Telling me its not their fault that I dont have insurance . Now am stuck with a car that they knew it has problems and did not disclose basically am *****ed by both Nedbank and Vereeniging motos.
I took a dent and scratch policy with them , been claim free for months last month I had an incident and my for light was broken and the bumper had a dent . I put a claim thru and send them pictures , surprisingly the claim didn't go to dent and scratch they put it under main policy .Every day you will receive a call from a new person you will explain your story with no help. Then they referred me to Renew it at Green stone that is the only panel beater they work with of which that was never disclosed when I took the policy. I requested a re-assessment on the vehicle and a closer panel beater that can help me with the repairs. The matter is still pending until today
