Motor Finance Corporation
Scores reflect the Overall AI Score for each category
Based on recent customer reviews, Motor Finance Corporation (MFC) faces severe and systemic customer experience challenges across every service dimension. Customers consistently report unauthorized debits, ignored communications, rude agents, unresolved billing disputes, and opaque processes. While a handful of reviews praise individual consultants who go above and beyond, the overwhelming pattern reflects deep dissatisfaction, eroded trust, and a sense that the institution prioritizes collections over customer care.

I bought a car 18th of nov 2025 at a dealership thevcar was advertised with a fsh and runflat tyres. The car had none of thesebit was false *****ulent advertising by pag motors.i has issues since the first day I obtained a report from a reputable rmi mechanic the car had oil leaks signifigant and a loose timing chain, other issues aswell controll arms stabilizers, after obtaining this rwport the deaker also did a report with the mechanic next-door who furnished a clear diagnostic. In Feb 2026 I obtained a dekra report if this particular car dating a month prior to my sale 9th Oct 2025 indicating all these major issues the dekra was from mfc auction house the same mfc who finaced this car for me and a 1year warranty wich means nothing because these conditions are pre existing.so the car belonged to mfc with the report and major pre existing issues andbthey finaced it anyway knowing that a car with oil leaks can't pass a road worthy I contacted them on the 27th nov 2025 no assistance they cant interfere.but they knew of the defects and did not disclose it dually with the dealership. I contacted them numerous times they just pass the bucket.jan the car started smoking because oil dripped on the exhaust a huge lufe threatening safety fire hazzard they new they did nothing.the car is stationary now and not fit for purpose still no assistance or intervention.they are not only the financier in this case they are the supplier aswell as per New van niekerk ruling.um really disappointed and won't recommend them they left me togheter with the dealer both new of the dekra report still finaced it i i xant get to work because the car is not working.

I'm sharing this on behalf of my employer who has been struggling to get a basic "Paid up" letter of his account which was settled in 2015. Since Saturday the 14th of March 2026 we have been battling with phone reps over repeated calls, hangups and redirection to still have zero outcome. He has managed to get paid up letters very quickly from other institutions but NOT from MFC. The level of competency leaves allot to be desired. Shocking service, or lack therof.

On the 8th of March my car was repossessed I was 2 months in arrears due to unemployment. I managed to pay on the 14the just to find out I need to pay a extra R6000 for storage. And they also have an approved buyer for my car going for R55000 I bought the car 3/4 years ago brand new. Mileage 56000. I am so disappointed. These banks are chasing us away, forcing us to use Capitec

Based on recent customer reviews, this business delivers a consistently strong customer experience anchored by outstanding agent quality and rapid communication. Customers frequently name individual consultants and praise their friendliness, patience, and professionalism. Recurring praise is given to claims and roadside assistance, though a vocal minority report frustrating delays, rejected claims, and poor transparency around premium increases.
This business's biggest strength, according to Hellopeter's AI analysis, is Agent Quality & Customer Care. Named consultants are praised repeatedly for patience, friendliness, and going above and beyond. Words like 'amazing,' 'star,' and 'gem' appear frequently, reflecting genuinely caring human interactions.
The most common complaint, based on Hellopeter's AI analysis of recent customer reviews, is Pricing, Premiums & Transparency. Customers appreciate premium reductions upon request but complain about unexplained annual increases, hidden excess charges, and debits continuing after cancellation. Transparency at policy inception is a recurring gap.
